Joanne Kong
5th Round – Pick 41 – James Cook (RB) [Current ECR: 44]
6th Round – Pick 60 – Tetairoa McMillan (WR) [Current ECR: 49]
This is what Joanne had to say about her picks:
James Cook had his best year in 2024. Can he replicate in 2025?
In 2024, James Cook had the 7th most carries for a running back inside the 10-yard line, finishing RB11 in fantasy points per game and 16 touchdowns. The Buffalo Bills offense hasn’t changed and Cook’s new 4-year contract signals Buffalo’s commitment and trust in their number one running back, particularly with very little competition behind him. His greatest competition for rush yards might be quarterback Josh Allen. In 2024, Cook had 18 touchdowns, 16 of them were on the ground, and 1009 rushing yards. In 2023, Cook also had over 1000 rushing yards but only 2 touchdowns on the ground, and 4 receiving touchdowns. Although it might be tough to replicate 18 touchdowns, Cook’s floor should be better than his 2023 season totals with 2024 season total upside.

Tetairoa McMillan is being paired with Carolina Panthers quarterback, Bryce Young for the 2025 season. The two are said to have found instant chemistry, which bodes well for the team. Young and the Panthers had a 5-12 record in 2024, finishing 3rd in the NFC South. The Panthers troubles in obtaining “W” is most likely due to issues at offensive skill positions, especially in the receiving core. Clearly, no matter how good a quarterback is, he needs someone to throw the ball to. McMillan, the Panthers first round pick, is that person. A top-rated prospect in the 2025 draft, with 1402 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023 and 1319 yards with 8 touchdowns in 2024, the Panthers are hoping that McMillan will be the start to the team’s climb to the postseason. With all that opportunity, he may be the start your fantasy team’s climb to the postseason as well.
3.14 – Tetairoa McMillan, WR
Already loved McMillan, but once I learned his nickname was TMac, I was all in
Has the talent, prospect profile, draft capital, and skillset to be a 1 in this league for a long, long time
Love adding that to my corepic.twitter.com/S5qJCmspQE

Scott King
5th Round – Pick 42 – Tyreek Hill (WR) [Current ECR: 26]
6th Round – Pick 59 – David Montgomery (RB) [Current ECR: 65]
This is what Scott had to say about his picks:
Mock Draft Recap: Tyreek Hill & David Montgomery
After securing a foundation of Ja’Marr Chase, Brock Bowers, Lamar Jackson, and Breece Hall, my draft in Rounds 5 and 6 was about adding both explosion and stability. Enter Tyreek Hill and David Montgomery—two picks that complement my early-round core perfectly.
⸻
- Round 5: Tyreek Hill – The Game-Breaker 🐆
Anytime you can land Tyreek Hill in the fifth round, it feels like robbery. Hill remains one of the most feared weapons in football—a receiver who can turn a slant into a 70-yard touchdown. Pairing him with Chase gives me arguably the best 1–2 WR punch in the draft. Defenses can’t scheme both away, and in fantasy terms, that means weekly fireworks.
Why it works: Chase brings steady WR1 dominance, while Hill adds the ability to blow the roof off any matchup. Together, they guarantee my roster never lacks firepower in the passing game.
⸻
- Round 6: David Montgomery – The Stabilizer 🛡️
After swinging for upside with Breece Hall, I wanted a running back who offers weekly stability. David Montgomery fits the bill. He’s a volume-heavy back on a high-scoring Lions offense, with a secure role in the red zone. While Hall gives me explosive upside, Montgomery gives me floor—consistent touches, steady points, and touchdown equity.
Why it works: With Lamar, Hall, Chase, and Hill providing sky-high ceilings, Montgomery balances the roster with reliability. He’s the type of RB2 who doesn’t make headlines but helps win weeks quietly.
⸻
Through Six Rounds…
- WRs: Ja’Marr Chase + Tyreek Hill (elite combo)
- RBs: Breece Hall + David Montgomery (explosive upside + steady floor)
- QB: Lamar Jackson (dual-threat cheat code)
- TE: Brock Bowers (rookie breakout candidate)
This roster is now loaded with explosiveness and balance—a perfect blend of weekly upside and dependable scoring. Through six rounds, I feel like I’ve built a true contender.
Jason “Commissioner” Cooper
5th Round – Pick 43 – Mike Evans (WR) [Current ECR: 33]
6th Round – Pick 58 – Mark Andrews (TE) [Current ECR: 86]
This is what Commissioner Cooper said about his picks:
Reports from camp indicate the Bucs plan on feeding Mike Evans this season. Evans’ historic consistency-never finishing worse than WR13 in points per game the past four seasons-offers dependable weekly returns, especially given Tampa’s ongoing commitment to his milestone streak. Godwin’s injury status and Emeke is a rookie as good as he may be so you can expect Evans to get fed early and often. Age and when the Bucs become healthy would make any one cautious. Coming in however as my WR #2 on this team; I’m confident I’ll get a great return on this investment.
If this was a full re draft I probably would have waited another round or 2 for TE but for purposes of this draft I went for the TE spot with the #5 TE from last season Mark Andrews. I’m looking at him as an undervalued tight end with clear top-5 upside. Everyone has his drop in the end zone last season on the top of their minds which makes him a great value this season. Even if you consider his 24′ campaign an “off year” finishing top 5 at your position is a win for me. Top 10 would be considered his floor with #1 TE potential. This position is deeper this season than it ever has but there is a lot of unproven talent in that consideration. I’ll take the guy who has done it over and over again every time.
Dave Earl
5th Round – Pick 44 – Patrick Mahomes (QB) [Current ECR: 62]
6th Round – Pick 57 – TreVeyon Henderson (RB) [Current ECR: 58]
George Templeton
5th Round – Pick 45 – Terry McLaurin (WR) [Current ECR: 39]
6th Round – Pick 56 – Sam LaPorta (TE) [Current ECR: 73]
This is what George had to say about his picks:
There’s been a lot of discussion about Terry McLaurin and whether he’s going to start falling off and where he ranks as a wide receiver. Well I’m here to tell you that he’s a top 10 WR and he won’t fall of despite turning 30. And he’s a bargain in round 5.
Kaiden King
5th Round – Pick 46 – Baker Mayfield (QB) [Current ECR: 70]
6th Round – Pick 55 – Zay Flowers (WR) [Current ECR: 52]
Will Gentile
5th Round – Pick 47 – Calvin Ridley (WR) [Current ECR: 55]
6th Round – Pick 54 – Kyler Murray (QB) [Current ECR: 78]
Wole Akinso
5th Round – Pick 48 – DeVante Adams (WR) [Current ECR: 31]
6th Round – Pick 53 – Jerry Jeudy (WR) [Current ECR: 67]
Ha Kung Wong
5th Round – Pick 49 – James Conner (RB) [Current ECR: 50]
6th Round – Pick 52 – DJ Moore (WR) [Current ECR: 38]
This is what Ha Kung had to say about his picks:
There was definitely some draft strategy in these two rounds. I knew that Ryan only had one RB coming to the turn, so I decided to take James Conner first and DJ Moore in the next round. But if I didn’t need to, I might have swapped these two picks.
That being said, James Conner is one of those RBs you can take pretty late because people forget about him, but can anchor your RB spot for the season. He’s had back-to-back seasons with 1,000+ rush yards and 9 total TDs, averaging almost 5 yards per carry over that span. Plus he’s great for PPR, last year being 6th in yards per route run and 7th in receiving yards per game. He has little competition for touches in the backfield and looks to resume his bell cow status in what looks to be an improving offense in Arizona, which means his opportunities should remain high. For a 5th or 6th round pick, he’s a steal, particularly if you decide to go zero RB with your draft strategy.

DJ Moore is also a fantastic mid-round pick as he could very well fill your WR2/3 slot in PPR. Last year he managed to pull in 98 of 140 targets for 966 yards and 6 TDs, and that was with Caleb Williams in his rookie season with a much worse offensive line and coaching staff, so I see that more as a floor. Fast forward a season and there’s a much improved offensive line along with Ben Johnson at the helm. Amon-Ra St. Brown averaged 1,313 yards per season with Johnson as the offensive coordinator in Detroit. Will Moore make that leap? Maybe not, but he’s certainly got betters odds this season and is well worth a 6th round selection.
Ryan Flattery
5th Round – Pick 50 – Chuba Hubbard (RB) [Current ECR: 51]
6th Round – Pick 51 – DK Metcalf (WR) [Current ECR: 42]
This is what Ryan had to say about his picks:
Hubbard is expected to be the primary ball carrier for the Panthers, with a strong chance of seeing a high volume of carries and targets
DK Metcalf is still likely to see a significant number of targets in the Steelers offense, especially with Aaron Rodgers potentially targeting him heavily.
Thanks for following our Fantasy Football Mock Draft and good luck with your drafts!
