2025 FGT Fantasy Football Mock Draft – Rounds 3 & 4
By the Football Garbage Time Staff
As I mention every year, we here at Football Garbage Time are all about helping out our readers. And the 2025 season is just around the corner in September, so we all know what that means…the FANTASY FOOTBALL season is ALSO around the corner in September!
So as everyone gets ready to root for their favorite NFL team and commit entire Sunday afternoons to eating tons of junk food and yelling at the TV screen when refs inevitably make yet another bad call on the field, some of us, including you I suspect, will be furiously tinkering with our fantasy football lineups and eventually wondering why the fantasy gods hate us when we end up losing by 0.01 fantasy points because Jalen Hurts took one too many knees at the end of the game. Phew, that was a ridiculously long sentence.
Say what you will about whether Fantasy Football is “good” for the NFL or not. One thing we all agree on here is that playing Fantasy Football is a lot of fun…but much more so if you’re winning.😎
So, as we do every year, we’re conducting a live Mock Fantasy Football Draft on Twitter (just check out #FGTMockDraft) for a mock PPR standard scoring Yahoo 10-team league (1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 Non-QB FLEX, 1 K & 1 DEF) so that all of you can get some insight as to who we like for the upcoming 2025 season, and hopefully help all of you with your drafts.
This year, ten different writers & podcasters from five different sites participated, including:
- Wole Akinso (@UrbanSportScene) from the Urban Sports Scene Podcast,
- Dave Earl (@DaveEarl) from The Hog Sty,
- Jason “Commissioner” Cooper (@tssfantasy) from TSS Fantasy,
- George Templeton (@temptherat) from All Burgundy and Gold Errrything,
- Ryan Flattery (@Ryan_Redbeard), and
- Scott (@NFLFantasy_More), Kaiden (@Sports4All41), Joanne (@kongfu4u), Will (@wilgent) and I from right here on Football Garbage Time!
Each one is taking part in a mock draft live over several weeks on Twitter, so follow along on Twitter by searching for #FGTMockDraft! What trends and surprises did we see?
We gave you the results of our first two rounds with some comments, and below are the results of the second two rounds along with some comments from those who made the picks. We also include the Expert Consensus Ranking (ECR) for PPR leagues as of August 17, 2025 as per Fantasy Pros so you can see how we differ from how other experts have ranked them for PPR leagues.

Joanne Kong
3rd Round – Pick 21 – Josh Allen (QB) [Current ECR: 24]
4th Round – Pick 40 – Garrett Wilson (WR) [Current ECR: 22]
This is what Joanne had to say about her picks:
It’s Josh Allen.
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will be chasing a Super Bowl for another year, starting the season as Super Bowl contenders with +700 (FanDuel Odds), just behind the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles. The offensive line hasn’t changed much but is hoping to build on last season where the Bills:
- Finished first in the AFC East
- Won the Wild Card playoffs against the Denver Broncos
- Won the Divisional Playoffs against the Baltimore Ravens
- But lost the AFC Championship game to the Kansas City Chiefs
A new season…a new beginning…but one thing that isn’t new is Josh Allen is money in the bank for fantasy football.
Here is how Josh Allen has fared versus his fellow AFC East quarterbacks over the past 5 seasons.
Every other AFC East team has started at least six quarterbacks in this timeframe, the Buffalo Bills have only started one.
There is really no comparison.

With Aaron Rodgers behind center for the New York Jets in 2024, Garrett Wilson had 1,104 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. With a less-than-optimal fantasy year, Wilson was a disappointing first round pick surrounded in the hype of what could have been.
In 2025, Wilson will be reunited with his former Ohio State quarterback, Justin Fields. Let the hype begin again for the upcoming season. While the new Jets offense is yet to be seen, Tanner Engstrand was previously part of a team known for creative play design and aggressive decisions – something the Jets need and something Justin Fields can carry out with his ability to use his legs. Paired with Fields, Wilson should have more opportunity in 2025 and increased upside.
Justin Fields once again, throwing a perfect pass to Garrett Wilson in the middle of the field for the touchdown. Fields is up to 27 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in camp. 4 of them aren’t even his fault. Justin Fields continues to thrive with the Jets.pic.twitter.com/3yNpEftR1d

Scott King
3rd Round – Pick 22 – Lamar Jackson (QB) [Current ECR: 26]
4th Round – Pick 39 – Breece Hall (RB) [Current ECR: 41]
This is what Scott had to say about his picks:
Building a Championship Core: Lamar Jackson & Breece Hall
After locking in Ja’Marr Chase and Brock Bowers as my cornerstone playmakers in Rounds 1 and 2, I doubled down on upside and balance in Rounds 3 and 4—landing Lamar Jackson and Breece Hall. Let’s break down why these two elevate my roster into true contender territory.
⸻
Round 3: Lamar Jackson – Dual-Threat QB1 🔥
Grabbing Lamar Jackson in the third round is all about ceiling. He’s one of the few quarterbacks who can single-handedly swing matchups with both his arm and legs. Last season, Lamar posted career-best efficiency while still rushing for over 800 yards—production that fantasy managers dream about. With new weapons around him and another year in Todd Monken’s offense, Lamar isn’t just a safe QB1—he’s a weekly cheat code.
Why it works with my roster: Chase gives me consistent WR1 firepower, Bowers is a high-upside TE, and Lamar locks in elite QB production without waiting for a mid-round gamble.
⸻
Round 4: Breece Hall – RB1 With League-Winning Upside 💪
Landing Breece Hall in Round 4 felt like stealing. When healthy, Hall is a top-5 fantasy running back. He flashed game-breaking ability last season, showing explosiveness in both the running and passing game. With Aaron Rodgers back under center, defenses can’t just load the box against Hall, meaning more open lanes and scoring chances.
Why it fits my build: Hall balances my roster perfectly. With Chase and Bowers controlling the passing game and Lamar providing rushing insurance, Hall adds RB1 explosiveness. This gives me a lineup that’s flexible, balanced, and built for high weekly ceilings.
⸻
Final Takeaway
Through four rounds, my roster now has:
- Elite WR1 (Chase)
- Rookie TE1 Upside (Bowers)
- Dual-Threat QB1 (Lamar)
- League-Winning RB1 (Hall)
In short—this team has the firepower to compete every week and the upside to dominate come playoff time. 🚀
Jason “Commissioner” Cooper
3rd Round – Pick 23 – Joe Burrow (QB) [Current ECR: 46]
4th Round – Pick 38 – Tee Higgins (WR) [Current ECR: 23]
This is what Commissioner Cooper said about his picks:
Love me a stack and why not a stack with one of the highest volume passing attacks in the league. Higgins offers high-end WR2 value with clear WR1 upside. He has a proven track record of consistency which makes this pick easy over another offense’s #1 WR.
Dave Earl
3rd Round – Pick 24 – AJ Brown (WR) [Current ECR: 14]
4th Round – Pick 37 – George Kittle (TE) [Current ECR: 33]
George Templeton
3rd Round – Pick 25 – Drake London (WR) [Current ECR: 12]
4th Round – Pick 36 – Jordan Love (QB) [Current ECR: 109]
This is what George had to say about his picks:
Wrong side of the QB run and both the super premium tight ends are gone and I already have 2 RBs. So WR was the way to go and Drake London was the one I wanted.
Once I missed the tier 1 run of QBs, Jordan Love is the one I had my heart set on. The Packers have upgraded his WRs and I think he proves his doubters wrong with a monster year and a Green Bay divisional title.
Kaiden King
3rd Round – Pick 26 – Josh Jacobs (RB) [Current ECR: 29]
4th Round – Pick 35 – Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR) [Current ECR: 20]
Will Gentile
3rd Round – Pick 27 – Omarion Hampton (RB) [Current ECR: 47]
4th Round – Pick 34 – Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR) [Current ECR: 37]
Wole Akinso
3rd Round – Pick 28 – Jonathan Taylor (RB) [Current ECR: 31]
4th Round – Pick 33 – Ladd McConkey (WR) [Current ECR: 17]
Ha Kung Wong
3rd Round – Pick 29 – Chase Brown (RB) [Current ECR: 27]
4th Round – Pick 32 – Alvin Kamara (RB) [Current ECR: 40]
This is what Ha Kung had to say about his picks:
Yes, the Bengals offense revolves around the big three of Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, but last year after Chase Brown took over as the lead back in Cincy in Weeks 9-17, he averaged 23.7 touches and 116.3 total yards being the fourth best RB by fantasy points per game. He played at least 79% of the snaps in every game while ranking second in receiving yards per game, which is absolutely fascinating with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins in town. In PPR this is a winning combination, particularly with how bad the Cincinnati defense looks this season, which lead to plenty of scoring opportunities in negative game scripts. He’s the perfect RB1 to draft if you wait to the 3rd round like I did.
Alvin Kamara is clearly getting long in the tooth. But if you’re looking for consistency, Kamara is your guy as he’s been a top 15 RB in fantasy points per game every season he has been in the NFL. Sure, there’s some risk with his age and injury record, as well as the lack of significant skill players around him in New Orleans, but he can still catch the ball at a high rate, plus there really isn’t much of any competition in the RB room. He’s certainly more of an RB2/RB3 nowadays for fantasy, but if he stays healthy, he’ll exceed his draft position in the 4th round.

Ryan Flattery
3rd Round – Pick 30 – Jalen Hurts (QB) [Current ECR: 36]
4th Round – Pick 31 – Kenneth Walker III (RB) [Current ECR: 42]
This is what Ryan had to say about his picks:
3rd I decided to go QB since many went off the board already. I needed to grab an elite one and chose Hurts. Tush push still here so we grabbing all those goal line carries!
4th pick I chose a solid RB with hopefully a bigger receiving upside this season in what is a Walker III contract year. He’s looking to get some big numbers for his next payday.
Check back for Rounds 5 and 6!
