As I do every year over the last 9 years, I’m here to help with waiver wire adds via my weekly Waiver Favors™ article!  And I’m assuming if you’re reader right now, you won your fantasy football playoffs last year, so congratulations!

I’ll make a couple suggestions for after Week 10 of the 2021 fantasy football season that hopefully will keep your team running.  You’re welcome.  Again.

As usual, all pickups are available in at least 50% of Yahoo standard fantasy football leagues (with some minor exceptions) as of Sunday evening.

Players I’ve suggested before that deserve a look again this week include:

And here are some new players I’m recommending this week:

Mac Jones

QB – New England Patriots – 28% Owned

Of all the rookie QBs, Mac Jones is doing the best.  I know it’s not really a high bar with Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson as turnover machines, Justin Fields being criminally mismanaged and Trey Lance not even playing, but it’s leading to W’s because of Jones and not in spite of him.  In Week 10, he completed 19 of 23 passes for 198 yards and 3 TDs prior to being pulled in the 4th quarter to let backup Brian Hoyer handle mop-up duty.  And guess what, he has the Falcons on tap who just let Dak Prescott throw for almost 300 yards and 2 TDs.  If you need a bye week fill in in any league, or a starter in a two QB league, Mac Jones should be on your radar.

Mac Jones Passing Stats Weeks 1 thru 9
Year G Cmp Att Cmp% Yds TD Int
2021 9 204 300 68.0 2135 10 7
Care 9 204 300 68.0 2135 10 7

Rhamondre Stevenson

RB – New England Patriots – 31% Owned

With Damien Harris out with a concussion, rookie Rhamondre Stevenson stepped in an ran for an impressive 100 yards and two TDs on 20 carries while adding four catches for 14 yards on five targets.  I’m not a fan on betting on breakout RB performances in New England, since they’ve mostly been unpredictable with regard to their RB usage, outside of Harris having the highest touch potential.  But there’s been some excitement around Stevenson this year, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him earn some sort of time share after this breakout performance.  Feel free to grab him in all 12-team leagues as we wait and see how this plays out.

D’Onta Foreman

RB – Tennessee Titans – 3% Owned

The Tennessee Titans are on a roll, even without Derrick Henry, and it’s been a pain for fantasy football managers trying to figure out who would fill that rushing void.  At first we thought it might be Jeremy McNichols, then the Titans signed Adrian Peterson and we thought perhaps he’d take the reigns.  As it turned out in Week 9, it was essentially an even split, with D’Onta Foreman thrown into the mix.  In Week 10, Foreman led all ball carries with 11 carries for 30 rush yards and with 2 receptions for 48 receiving yards.  He was verging on 50% of the RB touches, which isn’t great, but he’s also been more efficient with his touches, getting 4 times more yards than Peterson and 8 times more yards than McNichols.  I’d hate to gamble on a Titans RB, but if I had to in Week 11, I might consider Foreman as my top choice until proven otherwise.  Worth a speculative stash in 14-team leagues or deeper.

Gerald Everett

TE – Seattle Seahawks – 20% Owned

So, I’m not advocating you do this is you already have a reliable TE, but there are so few reliable TEs in the league that I can totally see folks in 16-team leagues or deeper being really desperate.  Russell Wilson returned from injury this week, and for whatever reason, he targeted the heck out of the Gerald Everett and Everett responded catching 8 of 8 targets for 63 yards.  Keep him on your radar if you’re looking for a TE switch, one more performance might put him on my definite pick up list.

UPDATE for Monday Night Football

Van Jefferson

WR – Los Angeles Rams – 59% Owned

Without Robert Woods, Van Jefferson had the second most targets on the team with 7 (Cooper Kupp had 13), catching 3 of them for 54 yards.  Perhaps unsurprisingly, Jefferson was averaging about 7 targets per game over the last 3 games as well, even with Woods.  Jefferson could have had a much bigger night, but dropped an easy TD in the fourth quarter.  Odell Beckham should get more looks as he gets used to the playbook, but Jefferson is still a worthy stash in 12-team leagues or deeper.

And here’s who I’ve recommended in previous weeks that I still think deserve a look.  I’ve highlighted in Orange the previous pickups that stood out again in Week 10:
