Without further to do, here we go:

Week 12 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

After a 64.7% record four seasons ago, and 63.3% (178-103) three seasons ago and 63.4% (180-104) two seasons ago, I ended up at a whopping 68.8% last season, my best season yet.  So that’s ten years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  I also had 84% right for Locks of the Week (16-3) and 44.4% for Upsets of the Week (8-10), so not only did I meet my 2023 percentages for both Locks and Upsets, but I have ten years in a row of Locks being over 70%.  But that was the past, and this is now, and I’m shooting for eleven in a row for both!

Had a decent week going 12-3, leaving me 108-55 for the season (66.2%), hitting my Lock (9-1) and my Upset (3-7).  Let’s move on to my Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 12…

Lock of the Week New England Patriots (-8.5) over Cincinnati Bengals

The Patriots are absolutely legit and a playoff run is not only a possibility but largely just a question of seeding.  They have the 7th most points per game (26.5) while allowing the 5th fewest points per game on defense (18.7).  The Bengals on the other hand have been OK on offense but have been an out and out disaster on defense allowing the most yards (418.2) and most points (33.4) per game this season.  There’s some talk that Joe Burrow might return this week, but Ja’Marr Chase has already been suspended so I really don’t think it matters who starts this week.  Lock in the Pats.

Upset of the Week Atlanta Falcons (+1.5) over New Orleans Saints

The Falcons have to start Kirk Cousins, which really didn’t go so well last time, but these are the Saints they’re facing.  The Saints allow the 11th most points per game (25) and the have the 7th least INTs in the NFL.  Perhaps more importantly, the Saints have the 2nd least points per game (15.5) in the NFL and there’s no indication that’s going to improve.  I’m not even sure why the Saints are favored, but I wouldn’t be surprised by the upset.

Joanne Kong’s Picks

Scott King’s Picks

Scott’s Thoughts:

Another week in the books. We have more injuries and QBs out. Must watch TV is the Browns this week. The lions are entering a must win stretch of games if they want to stay in the playoff hunt.

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

Giants and Seahawks gave their games away last week or I would’ve had the best week.

Cleveland at Las Vegas: Someone has to win this and if Kevin Stefanski believed in Shedeur Sanders as much as I do I would pick the Browns. But he doesn’t so somehow the Raiders will win.

Jacksonville at Arizona: The Jaguars blasted the Chargers so there’s no way they will lose to the underwhelming Cardinals. Well if there’s one thing you can count on with Jacksonville is that you can’t count of them week to week. They beat the Chiefs then lost to Seattle and the Rams. The same happens here.

Tampa Bay at L.A. Rams: Speaking of the Rams they needed 4 Sam Darnold interceptions and still only just snuck past Seattle last week. It’s the kind of win that leads to a loss soon after because a lot of flaws get covered up. And Tampa Bay will be desperate not to lose any more ground in the race at the top of the NFC. Bucs pull the upset.

Eliminator picks:

  1. San Francisco
    2. New England (only if you didn’t take them last week)
