Without further to do, here we go:

Week 10 Games

Ha Kung’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

Last year I ended up with a 64.7% record for the season, so that’s seven years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  Plus, I had a 75.5% record on Locks of the Week and a 58% record on Upsets of the Week.  I had an OK week going 9-4 in Week 8, with a total of 86-49 for the season (63.7%), 6-3 for Locks of Week, and 5-4 for Upsets of the Week.  Don’t worry, I don’t plan on stopping now!

Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 10…

Lock of the Week Philadelphia Eagles (-11.0) over Washington Redskins

The undefeated Eagles get to take on the oft-defeated Commanders who just couldn’t hold on to the lead against the Vikings in a potential upset in Week 9.  The Eagles are rolling on all cylinders on offense (with the 2nd most points and 3rd most yards per game this season) and defense (allowing the third least yards per game this season), with the sole weakness coming on run defense.  That being said, the Commanders haven’t been terrible with Taylor Heinicke, but his propensity to make critical errors like his pick-6 last week is a major issue as they’d essentially have to play a perfect game to beat the Eagles.  Don’t over think it.  Lock it in.

Upset of the Week Arozona Cardinals (+3.0) over Los Angeles Rams

Matt Stafford is playing some the worst football of his career right now, completing only 13 of 27 passes for an anemic 165 yards in Week 9 in an uninspiring last second loss to the underperforming Buccaneers.  It’s also pretty clear that Stafford is locked in on solely Cooper Kupp at this point, and that Allen Robinson was a bust of a signing and that Van Jefferson has added nothing since returning from injury.  And with a mostly unsettled, disgruntled and ineffective ground game, there’s not much here going for the defending Super Bowl champs.  The Cardinals aren’t good either, but they’re starting to get it together with DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore back, James Conner looking to finally be healthy again and Zack Ertz as an effective security blanket.  If they can avoid the turnovers, the Cardinals should be able to pull off the upset.

Joanne’s Picks

Scott’s Picks

Scott’s Thoughts:

Middle of the season and some teams are really starting to struggle. There are some HOF QBs about to be in positions they usually aren’t. They’re going to be out of the playoffs very early and have to keep fighting the rest of the way. Should get interesting.

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

Minnesota is 7-1 but they remind me of the 1996 Washington Redskins who went 7-1 against a very weak schedule, then lost 6 of their next 7 games. They finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs. The Vikings won’t do that but their slide will start in Buffalo. The Bills will tan their hides.

Somehow Seattle is an underdog to Tampa Bay in Munich. Maybe it’s a “they knew” game but the Seahawks are clearly better than the Bucs right now. And amazingly Geno Smith is an MVP candidate. Seahawks keep on rolling.

Quietly the L.A. Chargers have won 4 of their last 5 but they’ve struggled in most of those games. And they meet a rested 49ers team energized by the acquisition of Christian McCaffrey. San Francisco starts its big run with a win.
