2017 Week 16 NFL Picks

By the Football Garbage Time Staff

If you followed last year, you won over 60% of your picks, and we aim to do even better this year.

Without further to do, here are our picks:

Week 16 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

Last year I ended up with a 62% record for the season, so that’s two years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  Had a good Week 15 bringing me to 139-85 overall, which is a 62.1% pick rate, so we’re still good for the season!

Last week’s Lock of the Week went as planned with the Saints over the Jets, but the Upset of the Week barely missed as the Steelers managed to turnover the game away at the end against the Patriots.  That makes me 3-2 on Locks and 2-3 on Upsets going into Week 16.

Here are my picks for Week 16, just for you folks in survivor pools, or looking to make a bet on that elusive money line!

Lock of the WeekBaltimore Ravens over the Indianapolis Colts

Moneyline: Ravens (-1100) / Colts (+700)

Upset of the WeekDenver Broncos over the Washington Redskins

Moneyline: Broncos (+160) / Redskins (-180)

The Ravens have been hot recently.  They’ve won four of their last five games, the loss being only by 1 point against the AFC leading Steelers.  Ravens defense has always been solid, but the difference is that the Ravens offense has been firing on all cylinders with Joe Flacco looking like he did during his Super Bowl run and Alex Collins becoming a legit backfield threat.  The Colts have been struggling on defense and shouldn’t be a match for the Ravens.

I never thought I would say this, but with Brock Osweiler at the helm, the Broncos are actually a better team.  That’s more of a jab at Paxton Lynch than an endorsement for Osweiler, but it’s true.  Osweiler had one of his better games last week in relief with 194 yards and 3 total TDs.  The Redskins have had a mostly disappointing season, sitting at 6-8 and getting blown out in two of the last three.  Neither team has much to play for, but with the Broncos defense starting to look like themselves again, and Kirk Cousins and Samaje Perine sputtering, I think the Broncos do enough to pull off the upset.

Also, just because we love competition here at Football Garbage Time, we’re once again going heads up against Wally, Will and Ray at Urban Sports Scene on our NFL Picks.

They’re awesome competitors, and they KNOW their sports, so keep it tuned in, to both us and them, because we’ll be picking all season all long.
