In 2025, we were over 70% for cash lineups again and we’re back with more Daily Fantasy Football advice for Cash Games for Week 8 of the 2026 season!
You’re welcome.
As usual, before we get to winning you more bragging rights (and DFS cash), remember, the point of this article is not just to give you one or two lineups for each site, it’s to give you examples of a few POSSIBLE lineups. Getting exposure to a few different lineups is always a good idea, so don’t forget to mix and match additional lineups from my suggestions below. Trust me, it’s a lot more fun that way AND you’ll improve your chances of cashing!
Let’s get to winning you some CASH in Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season!

Cash Games, for those who don’t know, are essentially the lowest risk games. They include “50/50” games, in which half the entrants win about 1.8x the entry fee, and “Double Ups”, in which slightly less than half the entrants win 2x the entry fee.
Since there’s so many different sites, and I can’t cover them all, I’ve decided to cover just the most popular sites, including Fan Duel, Draft Kings and Yahoo! Daily Fantasy.
First of all, as a general rule for 50/50 Cash Games, there’s a basic target of points per salary cap spent that you’d like to look for:
- For Fan Duel try to target at least 2 fantasy points per $1000 spent.
- For Draft Kings, try to target at least 2.5 fantasy points per $1000 spent.
- For Yahoo! Daily Fantasy, try to target at least 0.6-0.7 fantasy points per $1 spent.
Remember, this article is not focused on GPP (Tournament) Games, JUST Cash Games. Feel free to use a few of these suggested players as a base when constructing a GPP lineup, but you’ll have to take some chances on a few low cost, upside players as well.
As per usual, I’m going to provide you with a few sample lineups on each site and give you a few notes to consider. You’re welcome.
So, without further to do, here are my suggestions for the Best Daily Fantasy Football Plays for Cash Games and player props for Week 8 contests.
FanDuel
QB – Lamar Jackson
RB – Chase Brown
RB – Bhayshul Tuten
WR – Wan’Dale Robinson
WR – CeeDee Lamb
WR – Chris Godwin Jr.
TE – Mark Andrews
FLEX – Ollie Gordon II
DEF – Los Angeles Rams
Draft Kings
Yahoo! DFS
Game Notes:
- For those new to this column, note that I never advocate against you paying up at any particular position for DFS. We all know that the likes of Josh Allen and Christian McCaffrey are probably going to have the most consistent upside in terms of potential fantasy points from week to week. But remember that DFS is a salary cap game. You can feel free to sprinkle high priced players into your lineups, but you can’t pay up at every position because there’s simply not enough salary to go around. I try my best each week to provide my thoughts on how you might want to balance your cash lineups in terms of points potential and salary.
- My general Week 8 cash strategy is to anchor at least one stud WR with a higher end QB, go mid-price for RB and look for value to fill the remaining WRs, TE and defense.
- The “Free Square of the Week”™ is Wan’Dale Robinson. Carnell Tate is OUT with a shoulder injury, removing the Titans’ team leader in targets (51), receptions (34) and receiving yards (413). Robinson already has 43 targets, second on the team, so this isn’t simply hoping some random backup suddenly becomes relevant. He already has a significant role and now gets additional opportunity at bargain-bin pricing.
- Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb are probably my favorite stack of the week. Arizona has been one of the NFL’s best matchups for opposing passing games, allowing 8.5 yards per attempt and a league-high 8.5% passing TD rate. Prescott is coming off a three-TD performance against Philadelphia, while Lamb had 12 targets and two touchdowns in that game. Lamb also owns a massive 30.5% target share and 34% of Dallas’ red-zone targets. Against a Cardinals defense allowing 2.4 passing TDs per game, I’m willing to pay the premium.
- Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers provide another way to attack a terrible pass defense. Flowers is coming off his best game of the season with 8 catches on 11 targets for 137 yards and a TD, and now Lamar returns against a Buffalo defense ranked near the bottom of the NFL against the pass. The Bills have allowed four different 80-yard receivers over their last two games, making Flowers particularly attractive where his salary fits. And getting Lamar against a defense this vulnerable to passing production gives you his normal rushing floor plus plenty of passing upside. The Ravens have to start winning and will have to keep their foot on the gas against the Bills which explains the 54.5 over/under, so I actually don’t mind grabbing others on the Ravens, including Mark Andrews, who’s really cheap across industry.
- At RB, Chase Brown and Bhayshul Tuten provide the combination of workload, matchup and price that I love for Cash Games.
- Cincinnati is an 11-point home favorite against Tennessee, and Brown has handled 67% of the Bengals’ carries along with a 14% target share. Even better, Tennessee just traded away star defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons to the Bears. This has all the makings of a positive game script where Cincinnati can lean on Brown in the second half.
- Tuten is similarly attractive against Indianapolis. Through his first three games he handled only 54% of Jacksonville’s carries, but that has jumped to 71% over his last three, along with increased short-yardage usage. For the season he already has 388 rushing yards plus 126 receiving yards and four total TDs. Jacksonville enters as a double-digit favorite, which should provide plenty of opportunities for Tuten to keep piling up touches if the Jaguars get ahead.
- Rhamondre Stevenson is particularly interesting on DraftKings because of his receiving floor. He has 20 catches for 204 yards and a TD this season and just produced five catches for 93 yards and a score in his last game. Now he gets Miami, which has been one of the league’s most generous defenses to receiving RBs. At $5,600, that’s exactly the sort of multi-dimensional usage I want in a PPR Cash lineup.
- Ollie Gordon II is my alternative way of attacking that same Patriots-Dolphins matchup. Gordon has quietly produced 339 rushing yards and four TDs on only 72 carries, so he doesn’t need enormous volume to pay off his midrange price. I prefer Stevenson where full-PPR reception volume matters, but Gordon makes plenty of sense on FanDuel and Yahoo where his rushing and touchdown upside becomes more valuable.
- Chris Godwin is a decent injury-created value play. Emeka Egbuka is officially OUT against Atlanta, and Godwin commanded a whopping 45% target share without Egbuka last week. He caught four of five targets, and while 27 yards wasn’t exciting, Cash Games are about projecting opportunity forward, not chasing last week’s box score. At his discounted price on FanDuel and Yahoo, I’m willing to bet on another healthy dose of targets, particularly with Baker Mayfield back.
- T.J. Hockenson might have the single best TE matchup on the board. Detroit has allowed an absurd 56 receptions, 602 yards and 10 TDs to tight ends, and at least one TE has scored 13+ DraftKings points against the Lions in every game this season. Hockenson also owns an 18.9% target share and has seven red-zone targets. Revenge-game narratives don’t pay the bills, but targets against a defense that can’t cover tight ends certainly can.
- Finally, I’m still generally looking to pay down at defense rather than sacrifice one of the offensive players above. The Los Angeles Rams Defense get a Chargers offense that enters the matchup winless and missing several pieces, while the Minnesota Vikings Defense have been one of the NFL’s most productive fantasy defenses this season. Neither defense needs to dominate—we just need sacks, turnovers and enough points to justify the savings that allow us to spend elsewhere.
Good luck everyone with your Week 8 Cash Lineups, and I’ll see you next week for some Week 9 Cash Lineup suggestions!
