As I do every year over the last 14 years, I’m here to help with waiver wire adds via my weekly Waiver Favors™ article! And I’m assuming if you’re reader right now, you’re in your fantasy football playoffs, so congratulations!I’ll make a couple suggestions for after Week 2 of the 2026 fantasy football season that hopefully will keep your team running in the playoffs. You’re welcome. Again.
As usual, all pickups are available in at least 50% of Yahoo standard fantasy football leagues (with some minor exceptions) as of Sunday evening.
Bryce Young
QB – Carolina Panthers – 32% Owned
It’s still early in the season, but if you’re one of those folks who drafted Jayden Daniels (out with an elbow injury), Caleb Williams (out with a hamstring injury) or Drake Maye (just simply not good right now and without AJ Brown who is also on IR), you might be looking for a good quarterback to play in Week 3. Well, guess what? You’re in luck because Bryce Young is available in a lot of leagues and just followed up a 361 passing yard, 4 touchdown effort against the Bears with 287 yards with and 3 more touchdowns against the Falcons. Just saying, that’s pretty good two weeks in a row and good enough to be the 5th best among all other quarterbacks in the league. Young connected with 8 different targets in week 2, demonstrating he’s not overly reliant on any single target, which means that consistency shouldn’t be an issue week to week, except for the opposing defense. But next week, Young gets to face the Browns, so I don’t see this ending anytime soon. Go get him in all leagues, even if you already have a backup.

Jonah Coleman
RB – Denver Broncos – 26% Owned
The injury bug is hitting everyone around the league, and the Denver Broncos aren’t immune. RJ Harvey was already ruled out because of a hamstring injury and JK Dobbins was ruled out of the game after just 10 carries with, shockingly, a hamstring injury of his own. Jonah Coleman was essentially last man standing, but the rookie managed to carry the ball 10 times for 39 rush yards and a touchdown along with catching all 3 targets for 19 receiving yards. It might not be super-efficient, but if Harvey and Dobbins can’t get back from their injuries, Coleman should get a pretty big opportunity going forward. Go get him in all leagues, and definitely if you have Harvey or Dobbins.
Denzel Boston
WR – Cleveland Browns – 31% Owned
Denzel Boston was drafted in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns and he’s showing a nice connection with Dashaun Watson catching 2 of 4 targets for 59 yards and TD in Week 1 and 5 of 7 targets for 95 yards and TD in Week 2. It’s not like the Browns have a ton of playmakers on their roster, so if you need an upside play at wide receiver, you could do worse in all 12-team leagues or deeper.
Adonai Mitchell
WR – New York Jets – 16% Owned
The Jets somehow managed to lose in Week 2 against the Packers after leading by 10 into the 4th quarter, but at least Adonai Mitchell had a nice day catching 6 of 12 passes for 63 yards. Mitchell led the Jets in targets while playing 61 of the team’s 74 snaps and running a route on 41 of their 50 drop backs. Mitchell was also targeted on a deep ball that led to a defensive pass interference call and would have had another 40+ yard completion. The Jets look likely to keep having to air out the ball to stay in games, which is probably a good thing for Mitchell, particularly in Week 3 against a Lions defense that has given up multiple receiving TDs in back-to-back weeks. Feel free to pick him up in all 12-team PPR leagues or deeper.
Tre Tucker
WR – Las Vegas Raiders – 28% Owned
Looks like Kirk Cousins was the right decision for the Las Vegas Raiders, and we can epect that going forward, the Raiders will help to pull their version of Alex Smith/Patrick Mahomes by continuing to find success this year with Cousins and not having to through first overall pick Fernando Mendoza into the fire right away. That means Tre Tucker will probably remain useful as he caught 2 of 4 targets for 27 yards from Cousins in Week 1 but managed to catch 5 of 7 targets for 119 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. The connection appears to be growing with Tucker catching two passes of 40+ yards and tying for a team-high 7 targets. Maybe the return of Brock Bowers changes some of that target share, but he’s worth a pickup in 14-team leagues and deeper.
Dalton Schultz
TE – Houston Texans – 56% Owned
Dalton Schultz has been on an upward swing, catching 4 of 8 targets for 35 yards in week 1 and following that up catching a whopping 12 of 14 targets for 140 yards in week 2. Part of that might have been due to Nico Collins being out in week 2, and part of that might be due to a negative game script where the Texans were constantly in catch-up mode, but it all counts. Week 2 was a career high for Schultz, so proceed with caution, but he’s worth picking up in all 14-team leagues or deeper, and perhaps shallower PPR leagues.
