Week 18 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
After a 64.7% record four seasons ago, and 63.3% (178-103) three seasons ago and 63.4% (180-104) two seasons ago, I ended up at a whopping 68.8% last season, my best season yet. So that’s ten years in a row with over a 60% pick rate. I also had 84% right for Locks of the Week (16-3) and 44.4% for Upsets of the Week (8-10), so not only did I meet my 2023 percentages for both Locks and Upsets, but I have ten years in a row of Locks being over 70%. But that was the past, and this is now, and I’m shooting for eleven in a row for both!
Had a decent week going 10-6, leaving me 165-90 for the season (64.7%), hitting my Lock (16-1) and my Upset (9-8). Let’s move on to my Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 18…
Lock of the Week ➡ New England Patriots (-10.5) over Miami Dolphins
The Patriots still have a chance at the 1 seed in the AFC if they win and the Broncos lose, and they all play at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday. So you can be sure that the Pats will be all guns firing against the lowly Dolphins starting an only semi-competent Quinn Ewers under center. That being said, Ewers did lead the Dolphins to a huge upset over the Buccaneers in Week 17, severely hampering the Bucs chances at the post-season. However, the Pats aren’t the Bucs, both on offense and defense. New England has the 4th most yards (374.5) and 5th most points (28.3) per game on offense and allow the 5th least points per game (19.4) on defense. Lock in the Patriots.
Upset of the Week ➡ San Francisco 49ers (+1.5) over Seattle Seahawks
Brock Purdy is on fire. He’s averaged 297.7 passing yards and a whopping 4.3 TDs per game over his last three. He’s actually had multiple TDs in all but one game this season. And it’s been a while, but the 49ers managed to beat the Seahawks all the way back in the first game of the season in Seattle by a score of 17 to 13. The Seahawks have been good, but Sam Darnold is a complete wild card week to week, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the 49ers upset the Seahawks in this battle for the NFC 1 seed.
Joanne Kong’s Picks
Scott King’s Picks
Scott’s Thoughts:
Final week of the season. It’s been a rough couple weeks closing things out. Never know who’s going to mail it in and who’s going to show up.

George’s Picks
George’s Thoughts:
Tampa Bay at Carolina: Lot of talk about New Orleans and Atlanta deciding the NFC South but that’s only if the Bucs win. And what in any of the last 6 weeks says they will do that? Carolina’s lost games too but at least the Panthers have looked competent on defense. So take Carolina.
Seattle at San Francisco: If Trent Williams plays I am taking the better QB right now (Purdy) and the team with the better defense right now (49ers).
Other business: Jacksonville struggles but gets past Tennessee to take the AFC South. Philadelphia beats Washington and gets a nice surprise when Detroit surprises Chicago to present them with the 2 seed in the NFC. Denver beats what’s left of the Chargers to grab the vital 1 seed in the AFC.
