Week 15 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

After a 64.7% record four seasons ago, and 63.3% (178-103) three seasons ago and 63.4% (180-104) two seasons ago, I ended up at a whopping 68.8% last season, my best season yet.  So that’s ten years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  I also had 84% right for Locks of the Week (16-3) and 44.4% for Upsets of the Week (8-10), so not only did I meet my 2023 percentages for both Locks and Upsets, but I have ten years in a row of Locks being over 70%.  But that was the past, and this is now, and I’m shooting for eleven in a row for both!

Had an OK week going 7-7, leaving me 135-72 for the season (65.2%), hitting my Lock (13-1) and my Upset (6-8).  Let’s move on to my Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 15…

Lock of the Week Houston Texans (-9.5) over Arizona Cardinals

The Texans have the best defense in the league.  They’ve allowed the least yards (266.3) and points (16.0) per game to opposing offenses this season and there’s no reason that won’t continue against the struggling Cardinals.  The Texans also have the second most takeaways (22) and the 6th most sacks (36) in the league.  I almost don’t care who they play, but the Cardinals are on a 5-game losing streak and the Texans are on a 5-game winning streak.  Lock in the Texans.

Upset of the Week Denver Broncos (+2.5) over Green Bay Packers

The Broncos are as hot a team as there is in the NFL.  Offense and defense are cooking.  The Broncos are on a 10-game win streak, and the defense has the most sacks of any team in the NFL (55) by a wide margin.  Its not that the Packers are bad, just the opposite, but the Broncos have shown much more consistency, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bronocs upset the Packers.

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

Not a great week but we keep on going.

Baltimore at Cincinnati: I know the Bengals blew it thanks to 2 Joe Burrow interceptions but to me they were clearly better than the Ravens on Thanksgiving night and nothing has happened since to make me think it will go differently now that they are playing in Cincinnati.

Buffalo at New England: The Bills have to win this game to be a legit chance to win the AFC. So even though I don’t trust the Bills coaches, defense or skill players not named James Cook. I will put my faith in Josh Allen.

Green Bay at Denver: Huge game at the top of both conferences and the Broncos have gotten away with poor production on offense because of their great defense. Well the Packers defense will force Bo Nix into turnovers and that will win the game for Green Bay.

Detroit at L.A. Rams: If the Rams had lost to the Eagles as they should’ve I would’ve picked them in this week. But the Rams got away with it and if they make similar mistakes they won’t get away with it against a Detroit team that is not dead yet!

Eliminator: I circled the drain with Tampa and the rest of my picks did similar. I have 2 entries alive in ESPN’s eliminator game and I went 49ers and Texans
