Week 10 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
After a 64.7% record four seasons ago, and 63.3% (178-103) three seasons ago and 63.4% (180-104) two seasons ago, I ended up at a whopping 68.8% last season, my best season yet. So that’s ten years in a row with over a 60% pick rate. I also had 84% right for Locks of the Week (16-3) and 44.4% for Upsets of the Week (8-10), so not only did I meet my 2023 percentages for both Locks and Upsets, but I have ten years in a row of Locks being over 70%. But that was the past, and this is now, and I’m shooting for eleven in a row for both!
Had a decent week going 8-5, leaving me 80-41 for the season (66.1%), hitting my Lock (7-1) and my Upset (2-6). Let’s move on to my Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 9…
Lock of the Week ➡ Detroit Lions (-9.5) over Washington Commanders
The Lions have the second most points per game (29.9) and have the 6th most takeaways (12) in the NFL this season. The Commanders have just lost Jayden Daniels for a very long time and are starting Marcus Mariota under center and has the 3rd worst turnover differential (-6) this season. Sometimes you just don’t have to do much analysis. Lock it in.
Upset of the Week ➡ Jacksonville Jaguars (+1.0) over Houston Texans
Jacksonville has Travis Hunter and likely Brian Thomas Jr. out this week, but the offense is looking like it’s starting to click coming off the bye with their 5th win of the season. The Texans defense is legit, but with CJ Stroud out and Davis Mills starting, I just don’t get a warm and fuzzy here, particularly coming off their 5th loss of the season. I think the Jags have momentum, so I wouldn’t be surprised by the upset.

George’s Picks
George’s Thoughts:
Cleveland at N.Y. Jets: I don’t understand how a team with Dillon Gabriel at quarterback can be favored on the road. I don’t care that Sauce Gardner was traded, the Browns don’t have the passing offense to take advantage of that. So what’s that in New York? A winning streak? Yes, take the Jets.
L.A. Rams at San Francisco: Yes, the Rams are going for a division title and the #1 seed in the NFC. Yes, the Rams have won 3 in a row, all in easy fashion. And who did they last lose to? The 49ers? And who owns Sean McVay lock, stock and barrel. Kyle Shanahan. Take the 49ers
Philadelphia at Green Bay: Teams coming off a bye have been hit and miss (Detroit was awful last week, Seattle were great). So how will the Eagles do off a bye week? I’m not sure but the Packers have played their best against the better teams in football and this is a huge game for both teams at the top of the NFC. So despite their nearly incomprehensible loss last week, I will take Green Bay.
Eliminator rankings (depending on who you’ve used):
- Denver
2. Detroit
3. Chicago
