As I do every year over the last 13 years, I’m here to help with waiver wire adds via my weekly Waiver Favors™ article! And I’m assuming if you’re reader right now, you’re in your fantasy football playoffs, so congratulations!I’ll make a couple suggestions for after Week 6 of the 2025 fantasy football season that hopefully will keep your team running. You’re welcome. Again.
As usual, all pickups are available in at least 50% of Yahoo standard fantasy football leagues (with some minor exceptions) as of Sunday evening.
Joe Flacco
QB – Cincinnati Bengals – 7% Owned
The Bengals had finally had enough with the train wreck known as Jake Browning and traded for everyone’s favorite fill QB, Joe Flacco. Turns out, the Bengals were functional with Flacco at the helm as he completed 29 of 45 passes for 219 yards and 2 TDs even in a losing effort to the Packers. What was really good for the Bengals is that Ja’Marr Chase was relevant again with Flacco. Flacco is set to continue starting for at least the near future, so he’s worth a pickup in all 12-team leagues or deeper, or any two QB leagues.
Jacoby Brissett
QB – Arizona Cardinals – 1% Owned
Kylar Murray being out didn’t adversely impact the passing game at all, with Jacoby Brissett completed 27 of 44 passes for 320 yards with 2 TDs and an interception, adding three rushes for 19 yards. Zay Jones, Trey McBride and Michael Wilson were the beneficiaries since Marvin Harrison went out with a concussion. He looked good and should be a nice pickup for those in need for a backup QB in 12-team leagues or deeper, or in any two QB leagues.

Kameron Johnson
WR – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – % Owned
With Emeka Embuka going out with the hamstring injury, and both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin already sidelined, Kameron Johnson stepped up and caught all 4 targets for 64 yards and a TD. It’s his first reception of the season, so it’s hard to tell if it will continue, but if Embuka misses multiple games along with Evans and Godwin, Baker Mayfield will need someone to pass to, so why note Johnson? He’s worth a flyer in all 14-team leagues or deeper.
WR – Tennessee Titans – 0% Owned
With Calvin Ridley going out with a hamstring injury (is this contagious?), Van Jefferson stepped up and caught 4 of 6 targets for 75 yards as Cam Ward‘s top receiver. If Ridley remains out, Jefferson would be interesting in all 14-team leagues or deeper.
