Week 6 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
After a 64.7% record four seasons ago, and 63.3% (178-103) three seasons ago and 63.4% (180-104) two seasons ago, I ended up at a whopping 68.8% last season, my best season yet. So that’s ten years in a row with over a 60% pick rate. I also had 84% right for Locks of the Week (16-3) and 44.4% for Upsets of the Week (8-10), so not only did I meat my 2023 percentages for both Locks and Upsets, but I have ten years in a row of Locks being over 70%. But that was the past, and this is now, and I’m shooting for eleven in a row for both!
Had a rough time last week going 5-9, leaving me 50-27 for the season (64.9%), missing both my Lock (4-1) and my Upset (1-4). Let’s make up some ground starting with my Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 6…
Lock of the Week ➡ Los Angeles Rams (-7.5) over Baltimore Ravens
Even with the loss in Week 5, I’m going back to the well with the Rams in Week 6. They underperformed in a big way in Week 5 but have extra days to prepare to take on the Ravens sans Lamar Jackson, which has proven to be the worst team in the NFL. Sure, we can blame the offensive issues on Jackson being out, but the defense has no excuse now allowing the most points (35.4) and 2nd most yards (408.8) per game to opposing teams this season. That being said, the offense is equally abysmal with Cooper rush throwing for the least yards of any QB that played a full game in Week 5 along with 3 interceptions. The Rams haven’t been great, but they’ll be looking to rebound after an embarrassing loss to the 49ers “B Team”. Lock it in.
Upset of the Week ➡ Detroit Lions (+2.5) over Kansas City Chiefs
I’m not saying the Chiefs are bad, but they certainly haven’t been good after being shocked by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football. They can’t get anything going on the ground leading to Patrick Mahomes being their leading rusher, which is clearly not a good thing. The Chiefs have been middle-of-the-road all year long while the Lions have scored the most points per game (34.8) of any team in the NFL. The Lions are coming off 4 wins in a row while the Chiefs only have 2 wins, one against the previously Russell Wilson-led Giants and one against the Ravens without Lamar Jackson for a quarter and a half. I wouldn’t be surprised by the upset.
Joanne Kong’s Picks
Scott King’s Picks
Scott’s Thoughts:
Last week was an embarrassment, but there are only two plays I considered bad picks. I had some really bad beats along with everyone else. Going to keep grinding. Some teams are on the verge of being realistically eliminated from the playoffs this week, which is a sad place to be for a fan base.

George’s Picks
George’s Thoughts:
What’s that smell? It smells like momentum as I won last week’s picks. And this week I am doing something you aren’t supposed to do. Taking West Coast teams coming East and playing at 1 p.m.
In 2 cases the reasoning is simple. The Chargers and Rams are clearly superior to the awful Dolphins and the struggling, Lamar Jackson-less Ravens. And both are coming off bad home defeats. As for the third game . . .
Seattle at Jacksonville: A classic let down spot if there ever was one. The Jaguars will be flying high after their wild win on Monday night over Kansas City. Seattle lost a thrilling shootout at home to Tampa. Seahawks defense will rebound and Sam Darnold may do to Jacksonville what he just did to the Bucs.
Detroit at Kansas City: No the Chiefs are not back and Monday night proved it. They still don’t have enough weapons. As for Detroit, well I was completely wrong about them. There offense is cooking like Ben Johnson is still there. And the Lions will go into Arrowhead and roll the Chiefs again.
Eliminator pick: L.A. Rams or Green Bay
