In 2023, we were over 70% for cash lineups again and we’re back with more Daily Fantasy Football advice for Cash Games for Week 10 of the 2024 season!  Yes, I know that Chris Olave’s injury last week derailed a lot of our lineups, but even with that we managed to cash in FanDuel, so that means we’ve still cashed every week this season.

You’re welcome.

As usual, before we get to winning you more bragging rights (and DFS cash), remember, the point of this article is not just to give you one or two lineups for each site, it’s to give you examples of a few POSSIBLE lineups.  Getting exposure to a few different lineups is always a good idea, so don’t forget to mix and match additional lineups from my suggestions below.  Trust me, it’s a lot more fun that way AND you’ll improve your chances of cashing!

Let’s get to winning you some CASH in Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season!

Daily Fantasy Football

Cash Games, for those who don’t know, are essentially the lowest risk games.  They include “50/50” games, in which half the entrants win about 1.8x the entry fee, and “Double Ups”, in which slightly less than half the entrants win 2x the entry fee.

Since there’s so many different sites, and I can’t cover them all, I’ve decided to cover just the most popular sites, including Fan Duel, Draft Kings and Yahoo! Daily Fantasy.

First of all, as a general rule for 50/50 Cash Games, there’s a basic target of points per salary cap spent that you’d like to look for:

  • For Fan Duel try to target at least 2 fantasy points per $1000 spent.
  • For Draft Kings, try to target at least 2.5 fantasy points per $1000 spent.
  • For Yahoo! Daily Fantasy, try to target at least 0.6-0.7 fantasy points per $1 spent.

Also, starting this season, Fan Duel will be giving yards bonuses similar to Draft Kings.

Remember, this article is not focused on GPP (Tournament) Games, JUST Cash Games.  Feel free to use a few of these suggested players as a base when constructing a GPP lineup, but you’ll have to take some chances on a few low cost, upside players as well.

As per usual, I’m going to provide you with a few sample lineups on each site and give you a few notes to consider.  You’re welcome.

So, without further to do, here are my suggestions for the Best Daily Fantasy Football Plays for Cash Games for Week 10 contests.

FanDuel

Draft Kings

Yahoo! DFS

Game Notes:

  • For those new to this column, note that I never advocate against you paying up at any particular position for DFS.  We all know that the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Christian McCaffrey are probably going to have the most consistent upside in terms of potential fantasy points from week to week.  But remember that DFS is a salary cap game.  You can feel free to sprinkle high priced players into your lineups, but you can’t pay up at every position because there’s simply not enough salary to go around.  I try my best each week to provide my thoughts on how you might want to balance your cash lineups in terms of points potential and salary.
  • My approach to DFS in Week 10 is to pay up for at least one RB, then go value at QB, WR as well as at the FLEX.
  • The “Free Square of the Week”™ is DeAndre Hopkins.  It’s interesting, but the prices dropped for Hopkins across industry before his breakout Week 9 performance where he snagged 8 of 9 targets for 86 yards and two TDs.  That means his production is nowhere near priced in as he’s in the bottom half of WRs in terms of price everywhere.  He has a great matchup this week against the 27th ranked Broncos pass defense, so lock him in and enjoy the savings.
  • The San Francisco 49ers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers game has the highest over/under of the main slate (50.0), so there’s plenty of opportunity here.
    • The Buccaneers have allowed the 3rd most total yards per game (386.7) to opposing offenses this season.  That being said, for the 49ers I’ll probably stick to Deebo Samuel, George Kittle and Jauan Jennings, who should be getting plenty of looks with Brandon Aiyuk out for the season, particularly playing against the Bucs zone coverage which he excels at.  Kittle has had a bounce back year being ranked 4th in target share (22.6%), 5th in receptions (40), 1st in receiving yards per game (71.9) and 1st in TDs (6) among all TEs.  This is absolutely terrific spot for Kittle, so I don’t mind paying up here.
    • The 49ers have allowed the 4th most receiving yards and the most receiving TDs to opposing TEs this season.  Add that to the fact that Cade Otton has averaged 8.3 receptions on 10.3 targets for 86 yards and a TD over his last 3 games and you have the makings for a really strong outing at a reasonable price.  He’s had an impressive 25.9% target share in 2 games without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.  The Bucs need to find production somewhere, and although I love Otton the most this week, I like playing Rachaad White, Bucky Irving and Sterling Shepard as well.
  • The New York Jets get the Arizona Cardinals and their 25th ranked pass defense, so I’m really in on Aaron Rodgers, who’s priced way down across industry and who’s passed for multiple TDs in back-to-back games and 4 of his last 5, also exceeding 230 passing yards in 4 of his last 5.  And I’m also in on both Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams as the 1A and 1B receiving options in New York.  In three games together, Wilson has a 27.3% target share, 6.3 receptions per game for 88 yards per game and 2 total TDs.  Over the same time, Adams has a 23.2% target share, averaging 4.7 receptions and 58.3 yards per game, catching one TD.  Both are thriving and both are viable in your DFS lineups.
  • On the other side, the Jets hardly allow any passing yards, but do allow the 12th most rush yards per game to opposing RBs, so I like James Conner who has averaged 16.3 carries for 73.8 rushing yards and 2.1 receptions for 18.6 receiving yards per game with 4 total TDs this year.
  • The Tennessee Titans have allowed the 6th most points per game (26.6) to opposing offenses, and the Los Angeles Chargers are on a roll since moving to a pass-first offense after their Week 4 bye.  In particular, Justin Herbert is showing why we all loved him 2 years ago.  He’s now got a 65.2% completion percentage, 1,147 passing yards (286.8 per game), 5 passing TDs, and most importantly, zero INTs.  He’s priced way down across industry so I love playing him for the upside and savings.  I don’t mind sprinkling in Ladd McConkey as well as Herbert’s top target.
  • Saquon Barkley is ridiculous.  If you watched his highlight 14-yard run in Week 9 where he jumped backwards over a defender, you know what I mean.  Barkley is now 3rd in yards per carry (5.89), 2nd in rush yards per game (115.6) and tied for 6th in rushing TDs (6). And that’s not even talking about his 2.5 receptions per game, 18.3 receiving yards per game and 2 receiving TDs this season. The Dallas Cowboys allow the 3rd most rushing yards per game (147.8) to opposing RBs this year and will be starting Cooper Rush, so I see plenty of time for Barkley to grind out yards late in the game.  It’s that simple.  If you can afford him, get him in your lineup.
  • Bijan Robinson is coming off a season high 145 scrimmage yards and has now exceeded 100 scrimmage yards in 4 straight games.  The Saints have allowed the 8th most rush yards per game to opposing RBs this season and just gave up 2 rushing TDs to Chuba Hubbard in a loss to the Panthers.  Robinson makes for a strong play this week if you’re paying up at RB.
  • The Bills allow 123.4 rush yards per game this season, which right in the middle of the pack, but they also allow the most receptions per game (6.78) and receiving yards per game (58.2) to RBs.  That’s a perfect spot for Jonathan Taylor to thrive, as he has little competition for touches and is a more than capable pass catcher.
  • D’Andre Swift had a bit of a down week, but should bounce back nicely against the New England Patriots, who have allowed the 7th most rush yards per game (136.9), are tied for 8th most rushing TDs (10) and are tied for the most 100-yard rushers allowed (4) in the NFL.
  • Russell Wilson likes George Pickens, and so should you this week against the Washington Commanders.  In two games together, Pickens has a 25.9% target share and 92.5 receiving yards per game. The Commanders are tough on pass catchers, but allow the 5th most yards per route run (1.78) to WRs.
  • With Keon Coleman ruled out, and Amari Cooper less than 100% and still relatively new to the team, I like Khalil Shakir.  Shockingly, he’s caught 42 of his 45 targets this season and is as dependable as they come.  He gets to face a Colts defense that has allowed the 7th most receiving yards per game (250.6) the 10th most receiving TDs (14).  If you have extra cap space, I don’t mind playing Josh Allen as well.
  • As for defense, you know I love paying down and getting value to spend more of the cap space elsewhere, and this week we got some decent options with the Washington Commanders Defense facing the Pittsburgh Steelers on FanDuel and Yahoo DFS and the Chicago Bears Defense facing the New England Patriots on Draft Kings.

Good luck everyone with your Week 10 Cash Lineups, and I’ll see you next week for some Week 11 Cash Lineup suggestions!
