As I do every year over the last 11 years, I’m here to help with waiver wire adds via my weekly Waiver Favors™ article!  And I’m assuming if you’re reader right now, you’re in your fantasy football playoffs, so congratulations!

I’ll make a couple suggestions for after Week 11 of the 2023 fantasy football season that hopefully will keep your team running.  You’re welcome.  Again.

As usual, all pickups are available in at least 50% of Yahoo standard fantasy football leagues (with some minor exceptions) as of Sunday evening.

Jake Browning

QB – Cincinnati Bengals – 1% Owned

With Joe Burrow our for the year with a wrist injury, Jake Browning has been named the starter.  It’s not like he’s amazing, but he did manage to complete 8 of 14 passes for 68 yards and a TD, importantly with no interceptions, while also rushing 4 times for 40 yards in about half a game.  And when you have Ja’Marr Chase catching the ball, and Joe Mixon keeping defenses honest, there’s certainly opportunity week to week.  He’s worth a stash in 16-team leagues or deeper, and in most two QB leagues.

AJ Dillon

RB – Green Bay Packers – 62% Owned

Here’s another injury pick up, as Aaron Jones went out with a knee injury early in Week 11.  Dillon rushed 14 times for 29 yards, adding 4 receptions for 32 yards.  Again, a really inefficient stat line for Dillon, but that’s what we’ve come to expect from him.  That being said, he should have plenty of opportunity so long as Jones is out, so scoop him up in all 12-team league or deeper.

Zach Charbonnet

RB – Seattle Seahawks – 44% Owned

Zach Charbonnet got tons of preseason hype, which never really developed into anything.  But with the oblique injury to Kenneth Walker, which knocked him out of the game in Week 11, there’s a possibility that Charbonnet will get some additional opportunities.  He had 15 carries for 47 rush yards and 6 receptions for 22 receiving yards, which wasn’t terribly efficient, but is certainly a good number of touches for 3 quarters.

Ty Chandler

RB – Minnesota Vikings – 44% Owned

With Cam Akers out for the season, Ty Chandler stepped in as the RB2 in Minnesota in Week 10 with 15 carries for 45 yards and a TD with no targets.  In Week 11 he was a lot more efficient with 10 carries for 73 rush yards while catching all 4 targets for 37 receiving yards.  That’s 14 touches as compared to Alexander Mattison’s 19 touches which only totaled 82 yards.  Chandler is looking at a near split in RB duties with improved efficiency (as well as the majority of the RB targets) so is a solid speculative pickup in 12-team leagues or deeper.

Khalil Shakir

WR – Buffalo Bills – 10% Owned

Josh Allen seemed to get right versus the lowly Jets, but a lot of that was due to an 81 yard TD to Khalil Shakir, most of which was Shakir after the catch, which allowed Shakir to finish the game with 115 yards and a TD.  Shakir is clearly a homerun waiting to happen, but he doesn’t get consistent looks averaging just 4 targets a game over the last 5.  But he’s worth some speculation 14-team leagues or deeper.

Isaiah Likely

TE – Baltimore Ravens – 3% Owned

With Mark Andrews out for the season with an ankle injury, Isaiah Likely will become the primary TE in Baltimore.  Likely only has 9 catches across 11 games this season and but he showed some flashes last year when Andrews was out, including exceeding 100 receiving yards in Week 18.  He’s worth a speculative stash for TE-needy teams in 14-team leagues or deeper.

Isaiah Likely Receiving Stats
Game Game Rece Rece Rece Rece Rece Rece Rece
Year Tm G GS Tgt Rec Yds Y/R TD Ctch% Y/Tgt
2022 BAL 16 2 60 36 373 10.4 3 60.0% 6.2
2023 BAL 11 5 12 9 89 9.9 0 75.0% 7.4
Care 27 7 72 45 462 10.3 3 62.5% 6.4

UPDATE for Monday Night Football

Justin Watson

WR – Kansas City Chiefs – 0% Owned

It’s anyone’s guess who Patrick Mahomes will want to throw to outside of Travis Kelce from week-to-week, but Justin Watson got plenty of attention in Week 11 with 11 targets after getting a previously season high 5 targets in Week 9 prior to the bye.  He’s worth stashing in all 14-team leagues or deeper.
