2016 Week 6 NFL Picks
By the Football Garbage Time Staff
If you followed last year, you won over 60% of your picks, and we aim to do even better this year. We’re off to a decent start, so without further to do, here we go:
Week 6 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
As I mention every week, copy my picks and you can thank me later. If you like winning, I think I can help.
Also, just because we love competition here at Football Garbage Time, we’re once again going heads up against Wally, Will and Ray at Urban Sports Scene on our NFL Picks. In Week 5, we “theoretically” beat Urban Sports Scene team:
.@FBGarbageTime how did you all do? Will T went 8-6, @UrbanSportS_Ray and I 7-7
— Wally aka Waleo USS (@UrbanSportScene) October 11, 2016
But unfortunately, since Joey forgot to put in his picks, according to the “Old School” rules, after averaging in the 0, we’ll at best have to call this a tie, putting us at 3-0-2.
Regardless, they’re awesome competitors, and they KNOW their sports, so keep it tuned in, to both us and them, because we’ll be picking all season all long!

Joanne’s Thoughts:
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Miami Dolphins
Miami is a wreck this year on offense and defense, and not even Ndamukong Suh, who signed a 6-year $114 million dollar contract in 2015, seems to be able to save this Dolphins defense.
The Steelers have been enjoying the high-life with their 4-1 season, winning the last two games at home. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been looking solid with the 3rd most passing yards and the most passing touchdowns (15) this season. Wide receiver, Antonio Brown, has the 8th most receiving yards and is tied for the most receiving touchdowns (5).
The Pittsburgh Steelers win and the Dolphins can once again contemplate where they went wrong. Maybe they should try their “Waterboy” on defense.
New York Giants @ Baltimore Ravens
This one will be close. The Giants don’t have home field advantage, which puts them at a disadvantage with a 1-1 record at home and 2-3 record for the season. Odell Beckham Jr. has been boxed out this season, grabbing his first touchdown in week 5 and having only 359 total receiving yards. Rookie wide receiver, Sterling Shepard, who started out of the gate hot this season has lost sizzle in the last two games. As for quarterback Eli Manning, although he’s thrown for 1385 yards, the 7th most passing yards this season, he’s been inconsistent at best with a 63.6 completion percentage, and faltering at the red zone with only 5 passing touchdowns.
The Baltimore Ravens have lost their last two games at home, with a 3-2 record for the season. So maybe the Giants might have a chance at a ‘win’ in week 6. Stat-wise, quarterback, Joe Flacco, is performing at a similar level to Eli Manning, with 63.9 completion percentage, 1282 passing yards and 5 touchdowns.
This game will come down to the defense. Unfortunately for the Giants, the Ravens defense have allowed the 5th fewest yards in the league – the 7th fewest passing yards and the 5th fewest rushing yards. They have also totaled 10 sacks, 6 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles.
While the Giants defense have ranked on the bottom against pass and in the middle against the rush, they’ve also been unsuccessful in putting pressure on the quarterback with only 4 sacks, 2 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles.
While the numbers favor the Baltimore Ravens, the Giants have a stronger receiving core with Odell Beckham Jr, Victor Cruz and Sterling Shepard. And if Eli Manning can get some New York Giants magic to work on Sunday they should leave Baltimore with a ‘W’.
I’m picking The New York Giants to win.
Don’t let me down.

Jason Johnson’s Picks
Ryan Whitfield’s Picks
Ryan’s Thoughts:
The Patriots continue to roll with Brady back and roll over the Bengals.
While I am rooting for Prescott, I think inevitably the Packers pull away at home on Sunday.
Jacksonville comes off of their bye against a lowly Bears team and up their winning streak to two games.
Philly bounces back.
New Orleans wins this weekend, and it’s full on panic time in Carolina.
