As I do every year over the last 12 years, I’m here to help with waiver wire adds via my weekly Waiver Favors™ article!

I’ll make a couple suggestions for after Week 13 of the 2024 fantasy football season that hopefully will keep your team running.  You’re welcome.  Again.

As usual, all pickups are available in at least 50% of Yahoo standard fantasy football leagues (with some minor exceptions) as of Sunday evening.

And don’t forget that I have my previous recommended pickups this season at the end of the article, categorized by which leagues I would still pick them up in.

Last week, I made a number of suggestions for pickups, and many of those still stand if their available in your league, such as Caleb Williams, Ameer Abdullah, Parker Washington, Jonnu Smith, Adam Thielen and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.  Here are the new waiver wire suggestions:

Bryce Young

QB – Carolina Panthers – 5% Owned

Looks like Bryce Young might be becoming the franchise QB the Panthers were hoping for when they traded the farm away in the 2023 NFL Draft to move up to take him first overall.  In Week 13, he completed 26-of-46 passes for 298 yards and a TD and rushed 3 times for 17 yards and a rushing TD.  The brief benching plus the return of Adam Thielen has appeared to put Young and the Panthers back on track for a positive rebuild, so feel free to snag Young as a backup QB in all 14-team leagues or deeper, or in any two QB leagues.

Jordan Mason

RB – San Francisco 49ers – 43% Owned

Christian McCaffery was injured on Sunday Night Football and was immediately ruled out.  It looked like it might have be an aggravation of the old Achilles injury or maybe even a knee injury, but either way, time to pick up Jordan Mason again.  We saw what he did when CMC was out, and although he was on an much earlier pick up list, you need to go back and stash Mason now if he’s on waivers just in case.  Go get him in all leagues.

Update (12/2/25) – Jordan Mason is out with a high ankle sprain, so Isaac Guerendo is the guy you now want to grab.

Chris Rodriguez Jr.

RB – Washington Commanders – 0% Owned

With Austin Ekeler on IR with a concussion, we expected Jeremy McNichols to play change of pace with Brian Robinson, but Chris Rodriguez came essentially out of nowhere to carry the ball 13 times for 94 yards and a TD as well.  Of course, a lot of that was when the Commanders were milking a lead, but it’s worth noting if you’re looking for a potential lottery ticket, as Ekeler is out for at least 3 more games.  Feel free to stash him in 16-team leagues or deeper.

Ray-Ray McCloud

WR – Atlanta Falcons – 14% Owned

Ray-Ray McCloud has quietly been getting significant targets all season averaging 5.1 targets per game.  And in Week 13, he caught 4 of 6 targets for a season high 95 yards.  There’s definitely some homerun hitting ability upside here, so this could be the start of something really good in Atlanta.  It’s anyone’s guess whether this continues, but for PPR, you could do worse for a WR4/5/Flex in 14-team league or deeper.

Dalton Schultz

TE – Houston Texans – 63% Owned

Dalton Schultz was probably owned more previously, but he’s slid a bit due to recency bias and might slip more because the upcoming Texans bye week.  But he’s worth your attention if you need a TE and can manage to stash him over the bye.  Schultz caught 5 of 7 targets for 61 yards and a TD in Week 13, which shows the upside he has with Stefon Diggs out for the season.  Go get him in all 12-team leagues or deeper.
