Without further to do, here we go:

Week 17 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

After a 64.7% record three seasons ago, and 63.3% (178-103) two seasons ago, I ended up with 63.4% (180-104) last season.  So that’s nine years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  I also had 85% right for Locks of the Week (17-3) and 42.1% for Upsets of the Week (8-11), so not only did I beat my 2022 percentages for both Locks and Upsets, but I have nine years in a row of Locks being over 70%.

I had a decent Week 16, going 14-2 leaving me 153-71 for the season (68.3%) and hit my Lock of the Week with the Ravens (12-3 on the season), and also hit my upset with the Cowboys (7-8 on the season).

Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 17…

Lock of the Week Buffalo Bills (-10.0) over New York Jets

Josh Allen is insane.  Over the games after the bye, Allen has totaled 7 passing TDs and 6 rushing TDs.  That’s a ridiculous 4.3 TDs PER GAME.  He slipped a but last week barely getting by the Patriots, but it just shows that the Bills can find ways to win games even when Allen has a bad day.  The Jets defense has been middle-of-the-road allowing 22.9 points per game, while the Aaron Rodgers led offense has struggled managing the 9th least points (19.5) per game.  The bottom line is that the Jets are a disaster sitting at 4-11.  Lock in the Bills.

Upset of the Week Las Vegas Raiders (Off) over the New Orleans Saints

The Saints were the first team this season to be shutout.  They’re playing without Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara or Chris Olave.  The Raiders aren’t great, but Aiden O’Connell has been good enough to make their top weapon, generational rookie Brock Bowers, absolutely dominant, having topped a 1000 receiving yards this season already.  I think the Jags find a way to win, so I like the potential for an “upset”.

Joanne Kong’s Picks

Scott King’s Picks

Scott’s Thoughts:

Merry Christmas football today. This is a really tough week; I might get swept today. Next week is going to be interesting either way clinch scenarios this week. Good luck!

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

Pittsburgh’s lost 2 straight but I think there defense matches up well with Kansas City’s offense especially if Pat Mahomes is hobbled by ankle troubles. The Steelers will be desperate because . . .

The Ravens are starting to round into form and Lamar Jackson is mounting a late charge for MVP. Houston has won their division but look like they’ve taken a step back this season. Take Baltimore.

The Rams will tighten their grip. Denver’s defense collapsed in the 4th quarter in L.A. last week but I still think they can do just enough at Cincinnati to win and secure a surprising playoff berth.

And Washington will put Tampa Bay back in front and secure their own playoff future by beating Atlanta.
