Without further to do, here we go:

Week 14 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

After a 64.7% record three seasons ago, and 63.3% (178-103) two seasons ago, I ended up with 63.4% (180-104) last season.  So that’s nine years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  I also had 85% right for Locks of the Week (17-3) and 42.1% for Upsets of the Week (8-11), so not only did I beat my 2022 percentages for both Locks and Upsets, but I have nine years in a row of Locks being over 70%.

I had a decent Week 13, going 12-4 leaving me 128-67 for the season (65.6%) and hit my Lock of the Week with the Chiefs (10-3 on the season), but missed my upset with the Dolphins.

Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 14…

Lock of the Week Philadelphia Eagles (-12.5) over Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have been better of late, but they still allow the 2nd most yards (392.1) and the most points (30.5) per game to opposing offenses.  The Eagles have found they’re rhythm winning their last 8 games.  They have almost everyone healthy, including Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley.  Sometimes it’s just that simple, so lock in the Eagles this week.

Upset of the Week Seattle Seahawks (+2.5) over the Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals and Seahawks are pretty evenly matched, but the Seahawks are coming off a 3 game win streak, one of which was against the Cardinals by a score of 16-6.  The Cardinals on the other hand are coming off consecutive losses (one of which to the Seahawks).  I think the Seahawks have momentum and will find a way to win, so I like the potential for an upset.

Joanne Kong’s Picks

Scott King’s Picks

Scott’s Thoughts:

Now that we’ve cleared Thanksgiving it’s time to get serious.  Teams are already clinching playoff spots.  The top of the NFC and AFC are razor thin.  Injuries are stacking up, teams are trying to play spoiler.   It’s going to be an interesting push.   The last week being all division matchups is going to have huge implications.  Hang on, it’s going to be interesting.

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

A lot of square picks but let me start with operation sixth seed for Washington. For them to have any chance to move up at all it has to begin with a Lions win. But be wary, Jordan Love tends to perform well on the road and in domestic.

Arizona lost a tough one in Minnesota but I’m going to back them at home and in a must win game against Seattle. A loss here effectively eliminates the Cardinals from winning the NFC West.

The 49ers have put Christian McCaffrey on the shelf for last year and didn’t look just physically defeated but mentally defeated against Buffalo. Interim coach bounce gives the Bears a surprising win in Santa Clara.
