Without further to do, here we go:

Week 12 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

After a 64.7% record three seasons ago, and 63.3% (178-103) two seasons ago, I ended up with 63.4% (180-104) last season.  So that’s nine years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  I also had 85% right for Locks of the Week (17-3) and 42.1% for Upsets of the Week (8-11), so not only did I beat my 2022 percentages for both Locks and Upsets, but I have nine years in a row of Locks being over 70%.

I had a decent Week 11, going 9-5 leaving me 107-59 for the season (64.5%) and hit my Lock of the Week with the Lions (8-3 on the season) but just missed on my Upset with the Bengals losing to the Chargers.

Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 12…

Lock of the Week Kansas City Chiefs (-11.0) over Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have improved, but they’re still pretty bad on defense.  The allowed the most points per game (31.0) to opposing offenses.  The Kansas City Chiefs just don’t lose many games and although they were beat by the Bills in Week 11 for their sole loss of the season, the Panthers are not the Bills.  Sometimes it’s just that simple, so lock in the Chiefs this week.

Upset of the Week San Francisco 49ers (+2.5) over the Green Bay Packers

This very much depends on Brock Purdy’s health, as he’s only been limited at practice this week with a shoulder injury.  If he plays, I think that Christian McCaffery will get a chance to round into form along with a surging Jauan Jennings and rock solid Deebo Samuel.  When 49ers have the 2nd most yards (430.1) and 9th most points (25.0) per game this season on offense.  The Packers are no slouch on defense, but they almost lost in Week 11 to the lowly Bears but for a last second blocked field goal.  Jordan Love actually leads the league with 11 interceptions and the 49ers defense has the 6th most interceptions this season (11).  I think the opportunistic 49ers will find a way to win, so I like the potential for an upset.

Joanne Kong’s Picks

Scott King’s Picks

Scott’s Thoughts:

We’re almost to the Thanksgiving games.  The season is really coming into focus for the playoffs.  Top teams tend to drop one in this window, could happen this week.

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

A whole lot of square picks from me after a some disastrous weeks.

I’ve given the 49ers enough chances and I’m done with them. They’ve owned the Packers but they were bad enough against the Bears that I view this game as a bounce back for them.

Picking the Rams out of hope they can help the Commanders (who will hopefully rout the dispirited Cowboys) out.

I’m not a believer in the Chargers and that second half against the Bengals is why. So it’s the Ravens in a must win game for their Super Bowl hopes.
