As I do every year over the last 11 years, I’m here to help with waiver wire adds via my weekly Waiver Favors™ article! And I’m assuming if you’re reader right now, you’re in your fantasy football playoffs, so congratulations!I’ll make a couple suggestions for after Week 14 of the 2023 fantasy football season that hopefully will keep your team running. You’re welcome. Again.
As usual, all pickups are available in at least 50% of Yahoo standard fantasy football leagues (with some minor exceptions) as of Sunday evening.
Jake Browning
QB – Cincinnati Bengals – 27% Owned
Cincinnati Bengals fans lost all hope when Joe Burrow went down for the season. And it was a little shaky with Jake Browning under center in Weeks 11 and 12. But Browning broke out huge in Week 13 on Monday Night Football completing 32 of 37 passes for 354 yards, a TD and an INT, adding 2 carries for 22 yards and another TD. And he backed that up with another impressive win in Week 14 completing 18 of 24 passes for 275 yards, 2 TDs and an INT, adding 3 carries for 7 yards and yet another TD. I mentioned him before for 16-team leagues, but he’s now showing good chemistry with the team across the board so if you’re looking for an injury replacement or backup QB in 12-team leagues or deeper, or in any two QB league, go get him.
Joe Flacco
QB – Cleveland Browns – 7% Owned
Everyone remembers that Joe Flacco was a Super Bowl MVP, but that was just over a decade ago. That being said, he rose from the dead to join the Browns off the streets just three weeks ago, played well last week and followed that up with an convincing win in Week 13 completing 26 of 45 passes for 311 yards, 3 TDs touchdowns and an INT. That’s more than Deshaun Watson has thrown for in a game since joining the Browns. Head coach Kevin Stefanski already announced Flacco as the team’s starter for the remainder of the season so go pick him up in all 12-team leagues or deeper, or any two QB league.

Chase Brown
RB – Cincinnati Bengals – 6% Owned
The Bengals have been wanting to give 5th round rookie Chase Brown a good look for a while now, and he hasn’t disappointed over the last two weeks, with 9 carries for 61 yards in Week 13 and 8 carries for 25 yards and catching all 3 targets for 80 receiving yards and TD in Week 14. His breakaway TD was the 2nd fastest play for a ball-carrier this season at 22.05 miles per hour, so you know there may be some lightening in a bottle here. Feel free to stash him in all 14-team leagues or deeper.
Odell Beckham Jr.
WR – Baltimore Ravens – 41% Owned
Odell Beckham has been quietly heating things up for a while, with TDs or 100 yards in 3 of his last 4 games. And he followed that up in Week 14 with 4 receptions on a whopping 10 targets for 97 yards and a TD. That tied him for the team lead in targets with Zay Flowers, so Lamar Jackson definitely has him in his sights, which means you should too in all 12-team leagues or deeper.
Tyler Conklin
TE – New York Jets – 19% Owned
Tight end continues to be mostly a wasteland in fantasy, so any spark is worth noting. Tyler Conklin managed to catch 4 of 5 targets for 33 yards in Week 12, 3 of 9 targets for 35 yards in Week 13, and 4 of 6 targets for 57 yards in Week 14 behind a rejuvenated Zach Wilson. The upside might not be there, but if you’re desperate in 16-team leagues or deeper, he’s worth a look.
