Week 7 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
After a 64.7% record two seasons ago, I ended last season 63.3% (178-103). So that’s eight years in a row with over a 60% pick rate. I also ended up 16-4 for Locks of Week (80%) and 8-12 for Upsets of the Week (40%) which is also eight years in a row of Locks being over 70%. I was 10-5 in Week 6 as I make up for a rough start and am now 56-37 (60.2%) overall for the season. I also hit my Lock of the Week (Bills) and my Upset of the Week (Texans), meaning I’m 83.3% for Locks and 50% for Upsets so far. But there are plenty of weeks to go!
Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 7…
Lock of the Week ➡ Buffalo Bills (-14.0) over New England Patriots
The Bills haven’t exactly looked like themselves recently, but they still have the 3rd most points per game (28.8) this season. The Patriots on the other hand have the second least points per game (12.0) this season. Mac Jones is on the verge of losing his job, and there’s zero playmakers on the Pats offense. Don’t over think it, lock in the Bills.
Upset of the Week ➡ Miami Dolphins (+1.5) over Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are pretty good. They have only one loss and the second most yards per game (395.0) on offense. But that one loss was against the offensively challenged Jets and guess who has the most yards per game on offense? That’s right, the Dolphins (498.7) and it’s not even close. The Dolphins also have the most points per game (37.2) this season, which is a hefty 11.3 points more than the Eagles. You’re probably saying “But the Eagles also have a good defense with the 5th most sacks this season (20)”. That’s true, but guess who has the 3rd most sacks this season? Yup, the Dolphins. I like the potential for an upset here.

Ok here we go for week 7. Had a bit of a setback last week, but we’re back for another week. I’m going against the Lions on the road.

George’s Picks
George’s Thoughts:
This week’s theme is just when you believe in a team they are going to make you regret it.
Let’s start with the Las Vegas who squeaked past New England to get to 3-3 and surely they will beat struggling Chicago? Not so fast, take the Bears to upset the Raiders behind Justin Fields’ running for big yardage.
Cleveland just upset San Francisco with P.J. Walker at quarterback so surely they can’t lose to Indianapolis after their putrid efforts against Jacksonville? Nope, Gardner Minshew rebounds and Jonathan Taylor starts to rev up.
Detroit went to Tampa Bay and smothered the Buccaneers so they will keep their momentum by winning at the Ravens, right? Sorry, but no. The Ravens recovery from that disaster in Pittsburgh continues!
With trepidation I am picking Washington and Denver.
Eliminator pick: Too many people like Seattle for my taste so I’ve gone with the Buccaneers to bounce back and beat the Falcons.
