As I do every year over the last 10 years, I’m here to help with waiver wire adds via my weekly Waiver Favors™ article! And I’m assuming if you’re reader right now, you’re in your fantasy football playoffs, so congratulations!I’ll make a couple suggestions for after Week 12 of the 2022 fantasy football season that hopefully will keep your team running. You’re welcome. Again.
As usual, all pickups are available in at least 50% of Yahoo standard fantasy football leagues (with some minor exceptions) as of Sunday evening.
Mike White
QB – New York Jets – 4% Owned
Looks like Zach Wilson is going the way of Sam Darnold as the Jets strike out again on a 1st round QB draft pick. But on the flip side, they may have found their new starter in Mike White, who completed 22 of 28 passes for a ridiculous 315 yards and 3 TDs in Week 12, finishing with an impressive 149.3 QB rating. If you’re looking for a QB for the stretch run in 12-team leagues or deeper due to injuries or if you’re in a 2 x QB league, go pick him up.
Cam Akers
RB – Los Angeles Rams – 56% Owned
With Darrell Henderson waived, Cam Akers and Kyren Williams (whom I recommended picking up a month ago) have the entirety of the Rams backfield to themselves. Akers wasn’t great in the first week post-Henderson, but the Rams were playing 3rd string QB Bryce Perkins, who likes running the ball himself and wasn’t terribly efficient. There should be better days so feel free to stash Akers (and Williams if you didn’t already) in all 12-team leagues or deeper.
JaMycal Hasty
RB – Jacksonville Jaguars – 2% Owned
Travis Etienne went out early with an ankle injury, leaving the Jags backfield in the hands of JaMycal Hasty. Hasty wasn’t efficient on the ground with 12 carries for just 28 rush yards, but he blew the doors off the pass game catching all 5 targets for 67 receiving yards and a TD. If Etienne remains out, Hasty could be really helpful in all 12-team leagues or deeper (and definitely for all Etienne owners).

Ty Johnson & Zonovan Knight
RB – New York Jets – 1% Owned & 0% Owned
Michael Carter went out early with an ankle injury which left all the carries for Ty Johnson and Zonovan Knight (who was just elevated from the practice squad). Turns out, both did well when the Jets were cooking on offense with Johnson rushing 5 times for 62 yards and a TD and a reception for 16 receiving yards, and Knight rushing 14 times for 69 yards and catching all 3 targets for 34 receiving yards. Knight clearly out touched Johnson 17 to 6, but Johnson got the TD and was more efficient. It’s unclear what will happen with Carter remains out since James Robinson was a healthy scratch this week, but I’m leaning on Knight as the preferred pick up since he had the most opportunity. That being said, both are worth a speculative grab in 14-team leagues or deeper.
Treylon Burks
WR – Tennessee Titans – 51% Owned
This is the Treylon Burks that the Titans was hoping for when they drafted him in the 1st round. After catching 7 of 8 targets for 111 yards, Burks followed that up in Week 12 catching 4 of 6 targets for 70 yards. He’s averaged almost 7 targets per game since coming back from injured reserve. He’s clearly the WR1 in the Titans run-first offense, so it’ll be tough to get any consistency, but he’s still worth a pickup in all 12-team leagues and deeper.
Zay Jones
WR – Jacksonville Jaguars – 25% Owned
Zay Jones went bonkers in Week 12 catching 11 of 14 targets for 145 receiving yards, and now is averaging 8.4 targets per game over his last 5 games. Jones is seeing a huge target share and is getting plenty of opportunity in Jacksonville, and it’s time to pick him up in all 12-team leagues or deeper, and definitely in all PPR leagues, particularly with the Detroit Lions on tap.
Skyy Moore
WR – Kansas City Chiefs – 10% Owned
Moore isn’t setting the world afire, and he did have a fumble in Week 12, but he’s quietly gotten 5 receptions from 6 targets in back-to-back games with Mecole Hardman on IR and Kadarius Toney now out. If you’re in need of a WR lottery ticket, Moore might be worth a speculative stash in all 16-team leagues or deeper, as it looks like Patrick Mahomes is starting to trust the rookie.
UPDATE for Monday Night Football
Benny Snell Jr.
RB – Pittsburgh Steelers – 1% Owned
Najee Harris looked healthy enough to muscle in a TD early in the game, but then left with an undisclosed abdominal injury for the rest of the game without any further details. That’s pretty ominous. Benny Snell stepped in with the bulk of the backfield touches carrying the ball 12 times for 62 yards and a TD, catching his only target for 6 receiving yards. If Harris misses time, Snell could be a worthy RB2/Flex in all 12-team and deeper leagues.
