We normally give you our player prop bets in our weekly “Scares & Dares” podcast episode, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get you this week’s episode in time. For that, we’re sorry.
Again, we can’t leave you hanging on winning money in Week 4 of the NFL, so here’s a special edition “Just the Dares!” with our picks for Week 4! You’re welcome.😎
Ha Kung’s Picks
- Josh Allen has been dynamite this season, and has exceeded 297 pass yards every game so far. Now he faces the Baltimore Ravens, who’s secondary is a mess having allowed every QB they’ve face to go over 300 passing yards, including Joe Flacco of the Jets, Tua Tagovailoa of the Dolphins and Mac Jones of the Patriots. Allen is better than all of them and has a full set of healthy receivers, so I’m picking to go OVER 285.5 pass yards.
- Jared Goff has actually been pretty good, but has only gone over 257.5 pass yards once this season. And this week, Goff will be without his top WR, Amon-Ra St. Brown and his top end pass catching back, D’Andre Swift. I’m not scared of the Seattle defense but they’ve only allowed 240.3 passing yards per game this year. With all that, I’m taking Goff to go UNDER 257.5 pass yards.
Joanne’s Picks
- Rookie Jahan Dotson start had been great, but his week 3 performance against the Philadelphia Eagles was short of spectacular. Of course, that’s not on Jahan Dotson. Dotson can’t catch what Carson Wentz doesn’t throw. Dotson has had 9 catches and 109 receiving yards in the first three weeks, most of the stats come from week 1 and 2. Dallas, like Philadelphia, has been a top five defense going into week 4, but that doesn’t mean that Dotson can’t reach the over. For Carson Wentz, it will depend on his offensive line, who allowed Wentz to get sacked nine times in week 3, and Wentz’ ability to quickly read the field and release the ball. I’m daring to say that Carson Wentz will be able to bounce back from week 3’s performance against the Eagles, and Dotson, who’s been a valuable asset to Washington will be able to meet the over, as well as catch a touchdown in week 4. I’m going with OVER 31.5 receiving yards.
- Marquise Brown had a fantastic week 3 with 140 receiving yards. Brown has only had one touchdown this season, but with Kyler Murry as quarterback, it’s probably difficult to see the red zone. Carolina has allowed an average of 214 passing yards and an average of 134.7 rushing yards. In week 3, the Carolina Panthers got their first win, but the New Orleans Saints offense had 353 receiving yards. Murry is a good quarterback, he’ll need to use his arm as well as his legs to get the win in week 4, and Marquise Brown will more than likely be the play maker to help Murry in the air. Brown will be heavily covered, but he’s also known to be a playmaker and that’s’ exactly what this Atlanta team need. Brown won’t repeat his performance from week 3, but, he’ll see enough touches to go OVER 58.5 receiving yards.
