In 2020, we were over 70% for cash lineups and we’re back with more Daily Fantasy Football advice for Cash Games for Week 13 of the 2021 season!
You’re welcome. ?
As usual, before we get to winning you more bragging rights (and DFS cash), remember, the point of this article is not just to give you one or two lineups for each site, it’s to give you examples of a few POSSIBLE lineups. Getting exposure to a few different lineups is always a good idea, so don’t forget to mix and match additional lineups from my suggestions below. Trust me, it’s a lot more fun that way AND you’ll improve your chances of cashing!
And this year, we’re also adding our ThriveFantasy prop picks to help you win even MORE money!
Let’s get to winning you some CASH in Week 13 of the 2021 NFL season!
Cash Games, for those who don’t know, are essentially the lowest risk games. They include “50/50” games, in which half the entrants win about 1.8x the entry fee, and “Double Ups”, in which slightly less than half the entrants win 2x the entry fee.
Since there’s so many different sites, and I can’t cover them all, I’ve decided to cover just the most popular sites, including Fan Duel, Draft Kings and Yahoo! Daily Fantasy.
First of all, as a general rule for 50/50 Cash Games, there’s a basic target of points per salary cap spent that you’d like to look for:
- For Fan Duel try to target at least 2 fantasy points per $1000 spent.
- For Draft Kings, try to target at least 2.5 fantasy points per $1000 spent.
- For Yahoo! Daily Fantasy, try to target at least 0.6-0.7 fantasy points per $1 spent.
Remember, this article is not focused on GPP (Tournament) Games, JUST Cash Games. Feel free to use a few of these suggested players as a base when constructing a GPP lineup, but you’ll have to take some chances on a few low cost, upside players as well.
As per usual, I’m going to provide you with a few sample lineups on each site and give you a few notes to consider. You’re welcome. ?
ThriveFantasy is actually quite a bit different. There you have your choice of various player prop bets to pick from. You can enter a traditional contest where you pick the Over or Under on 10 of the available prop bets, getting more points for risker picks, and compete for the most points in the contest. Or you can just select two, three, or four player prop bets to create a custom lineup from the list of player predictions. Pick 2/2 correctly, win 3.6x your entry amount ($10 entry wins $36). Pick 3/3 correctly win 6.2x your entry. Pick 4/4 correctly win 11x your entry amount. The only limitation is that you choose athletes from more than one team to be able to enter.
I’ll be providing my 2 way prop bet picks each and every week!

Game Notes:
- For those new to this column, note that I never advocate against you paying up at any particular position for DFS. We all know that the likes of Josh Allen and Davante Adams are probably going to have the most consistent upside in terms of potential fantasy points from week to week. But remember that DFS is a salary cap game. You can feel free to sprinkle high priced players into your lineups, but you can’t pay up at every position because there’s simply not enough salary to go around. I try my best each week to provide my thoughts on how you might want to balance your cash lineups in terms of points potential and salary.
- The “Free Square of the Week”™ is Jamaal Williams. With D’Andre Swift likely out with a shoulder injury, Williams will be the primary backfield options for Detroit. Williams has had eight games where he’s started and put up at least 100 scrimmage yards during his career and the Lions shouldn’t have any issues with giving him work after going over 10 touches in seven of his first nine games both with and without Swift in the lineup. Now he faces a Vikings defense that ranks 30th in the NFL against the run and that gives up more yards per carry (4.8) than any team in the league. He’s priced low and a nice value across industry, so just lock him in.
- The Washington Football Team @ Las Vegas Raiders is tied for the 2nd highest over/under (49.5) of the regular slate, with the Raiders favored by 1.5. This game has all the makings of a shootout with two defensively challenged teams, particularly Washington’s pass defense which is 3rd worst in the NFL. That means I’m all in on the Raiders passing attack, in particular Derek Carr. And with Darren Waller out, I’m also very interested in a near minimum priced Foster Moreau and the uber-targeted Hunter Renfrow. When Waller was out in Week, Moreau played all of the Raiders’ 63 offensive snaps and finished catching all 6 of his targets for 60 yards and a TD. Renfrow has had 9 targets in 3 of his last 4 games and I suspect that will be the floor in a game without Waller. On the Washington side, I don’t mind looking at Terry McLaurin, who’s had the 10th most targets per game amount WRs this season (8.9) and DeAndre Carter, who’s had a TD in 3 of his last 4 games, as Washington will likely need to throw to keep up.
- The Los Angeles Chargers @ Cincinnati Bengals is the other game with the 2nd highest over/under (49.5) of the regular slate, with the Bengals favored by 3. The Bengals have the 8th worst pass defense in the league this season, so I like Keenan Allen, Justin Herbert and Mike Williams, in that order. On the other side, I like Joe Mixon the worst run defense in the NFL.
- With Deebo Samuel out, I like getting Brandon Aiyuk in my lineups, who’s had at least 85 yards in 3 of his last 4 games and now faces the Seahawks and their passing defense that’s 2nd worst in the league. And I don’t mind playing Eli Mitchell either since the Seahawks are also bottom 10 against the run.
- Jaylen Waddle has stepped up of late and now has the 6th most receptions per game (6.41) of any WR in the league, but his price hasn’t caught up with him yet. He had a breakout game in Week 12 and now faces a defensively challenged Giants team.
- The winless Lions have the 4th worst overall defense in the league and now face the Vikings. I like Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and Alexander Mattison, who will be stepping in for an injured Dalvin Cook. Cousins is quietly averaging the 9th most passing yards (273) and the 7th most passing TDs (2.09) in the league this season, so he has a great floor with upside this week.
- On defense, I love taking value and paying down, which means that I like the Buccaneers defense against the above-mentioned floundering Falcons defense. They’re priced down on FanDuel and Draft Kings. I also don’t mind paying down a little on Draft Kings for the Cardinals defense against the Andy Dalton led Bears. And finally, on Yahoo, the Miami defense is priced down in a decent matchup at home against a Mike Glennon led Giants team.
- With regard to ThriveFantasy, I’m in on the Russell Wilson passing yards prop and Cordarrelle Patterson total yards props. Wilson started the season on fire but trailed off from Week 4, only exceeding 207 passing yards once. Against the 5th (Cardinals) and 7th (Packers) ranked defenses, Wilson put up 207 and 161 passing yards, and now he faces the 6th ranked 49ers defense. The Seahawks rank last in time of possession, while the 49ers rank ninth in the league. I don’t think Wilson exceeds 226 passing yards this week. Patterson has been on a tear for the Falcons and has now averaged 91.1 total rushing and receiving yards per game. The Bucs have a stout run defense but are 20th against the pass. As much as I like playing the Bucs defense in DFS, I think Patterson gets his and exceeds 75.5 total rushing and receiving yards.
Good luck everyone with your Week 13 Cash Lineups, and I’ll see you next week for some Week 14 Cash Lineups!
