As I do every year over the last 9 years, I’m here to help with waiver wire adds via my weekly Waiver Favors™ article! And I’m assuming if you’re reader right now, you won your fantasy football playoffs last year, so congratulations!I’ll make a couple suggestions for after Week 11 of the 2021 fantasy football season that hopefully will keep your team running. You’re welcome. Again.
As usual, all pickups are available in at least 50% of Yahoo standard fantasy football leagues (with some minor exceptions) as of Sunday evening.
Players I’ve suggested before that deserve a look again this week include:
- Devonta Freeman – RB – Baltimore Ravens
- Darnell Mooney – WR – Chicago Bears
- Elijah Moore – WR – New York Jets
- Dawson Knox – TE – Buffalo Bills
And here are some new players I’m recommending this week:
Cam Newton
QB – Carolina Panthers – 51% Owned
He’s baaack!!! Cam Newton returned to the Panthers in Week 10, but had his first start this season with his old team in Week 11 and completed 20 of 25 passes for 189 yards and 2 passing TDs, adding 46 rushing yards and a rushing TD. He matched Christian McCaffrey with ten rushing attempts, which I don’t think is an aberration. With the rushing yards floor and TD upside, Newton is worth a pickup in all 12-team leagues or deeper.

Tyrod Taylor
QB – Houston Texans – 5% Owned
I wasn’t convinced when he returned in the last start, but Tyrod Taylor looked shockingly effective against the once hot Titans defense and completed 14 of 24 passes for 107 yards, adding six carries for 28 yards and two TDs. The rain derailed what looked to be a banner day for Taylor, but he still led the Texans to a surprising win, only their second of the season. He has a couple easier matchups down the road, so he’s worth a look as a bye week replacement 14-team leagues or deeper or all two QB leagues.
Dontrell Hilliard
RB – Tennessee Titans – 0% Owned
Yeah, I’m sick of this too. Every time you think you’ve figured out who’s the primary ball handler in the Titans’ backfield post-Henry, someone else pops out of the woodwork. And in Week 11, after we all thought it was going to be D’Onta Foreman, Dontrell Hilliard got back from injury and had 7 carries for 35 yards, catching 8 of 10 targets for 47 yards. Who knows it this will continue, but if Jeremy McNichols remains out, Hilliard may start to get consistent work, which makes him an interesting stash in 14-team leagues or deeper.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
WR – Tennessee Titans – 0% Owned
With Julio Jones on IR and AJ Brown dinged up, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is starting to get more opportunities, including in Week 1 when he caught 7 of 8 targets for 107 yards. If Brown is limited, Westbrook-Ikine is an interesting stash in 14-team leagues or deeper.
Adam Trautman
TE – New Orleans Saints – 7% Owned
Adam Trautman has become Trevor Siemian‘s favorite target piling up 27 targets over the last 4 games. In Week 11, Trautman caught 5 of 8 targets for 58 yards and a TD, continuing his significant target share. The TE position has been a wasteland this year, so Trautman is definitely worth your consideration in 12-team leagues or deeper, particularly in PPR.
