Week 7 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
Last year I ended up with a 68.1% record for the season, so that’s six years in a row with over a 60% pick rate. Had a little bit of a rough start this season, but I went 15 for 16 in Week 5 and am sitting at a healthy 64-30 (68.1%) on the year. Last year, I had a 87.5% record on Locks of the Week and a 50% record on Upsets of the Week. So far I’m 83.3% (5-1) on my Locks and 50% (3-3) on my Upsets this year, so it looks like we’re back on track here as well. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on stopping now!
Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 7…
Lock of the Week ➡ Arizona Cardinals (-17.5) over Houston Texans
The undefeated Cardinals are the arguably the best team in the NFL right now, and they back it up with the 7th most total yards (403.0) and 4th most points (32.3) per game on offense. In Week 7 they face the struggling Texans whose defend has allowed the 7th most yards (391.2) and 6th most points (28.7) per game this season. I think it’s pretty obvious, but lock in the Cardinals.
Upset of the Week ➡ Indianapolis Colts (+4.0) over San Francisco 49ers
The Colts are better than their record shows. They should have beat the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5, being in control the entire game until the 4th quarter, and their defense is legit. The Colts are careful with the ball, having the 2nd least number of giveaways in the league and they’ve finally gotten their ground game going behind Jonathan Taylor. The 49ers only have wins over the Lions and Eagles, who have a combined record of 2-10. So, yeah, I’m not that impressed. I like the Colts with the upset this week rolling off a 31-3 beat down of the Texans.

Scott King’s Picks
Scott’s Thoughts:
Well, I’m almost in the cellar. I’m not sure what I’m missing but I’m getting burned by some crazy finishes early in the season. Hopefully this gets me in track, I actually feel good about this week which means I’ll get 2.

George’s Picks
George’s Thoughts:
This is a tough week. Injury questions throw games like Thursday night’s Cleveland-Denver game into doubt. Similarly that are loads of tossups where you can make a case for both sides. In terms of underdogs I like the Giants (provided some of their skill players are available) and I saw enough from Geno Smith to give take the Seahawks at home in a must-win against the often inconsistent Saints. But this is a tough board this week. Good luck!
UPDATE – George has changed his pick from the 49ers to the Colts with Jimmy Garoppolo set to start.
