Without further to do, here we go:
Week 14 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
Last year I ended up with a 64.7% record for the season, so that’s five years in a row with over a 60% pick rate. Plus, I had a 88.2% record on Locks of the Week and a 64.7% record on Upsets of the Week. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on stopping now!
We had an passable Week 13 going 9-6, leaving us at 129-61 for the season (67.9%), which is still pretty darn good. But others are keeping up, so I need to keep moving forward! I’m also rolling with 11-2 (84.6%) for Locks of the Week and 6-7 (46.2%) for Upsets of the Week. But I’ve got plenty of work to do, so let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 14…
Lock of the Week ➡ Green Bay Packers (-7.5) over Detroit Lions
What can I say. I personally hate the Packers, but right now, they look like odds on favorites to make a run at another NFC Championship, outside of maybe the Saints. The Detroit Lions, on the other hand, fired their head coach, but did have morale victory over the floundering Chicago Bears in Week 14. Well, the Packers aren’t the Bears. The Packers have the most points (31.6) and the second most yards (396.6) per game of any team this season. And Aaron Rodgers may be amazing, but the Green Bay O-line deserves some credit as well with the lowest allowed QB pressure per drop back percentage in the league (14%). They may not be at the top of the list on defense, so the Lions should score, but I just don’t see how the Packers offense fails against a Lions defense that allows the second most points (29.8) this season. Like I say, don’t over think it. Lock in the Packers.
Upset of the Week ➡ Cincinnati Bengals (+3.5) over Dallas Cowboys
Listen, the Cowboys are a complete dumpster fire right now. Sure, they looked OK in garbage time against the Ravens, but the the defense was atrocious, with LBs and safeties out of position all game long. I’m not saying the Bengals are any great shakes without Joe Burrow, but the Cowboys have the dubious distinction of allowing the most points per game (32.8) on defense and provide the 2nd most turnovers (24) on offense of any team this season. To be fair, no one should be afraid of the undisciplined mess in Cincy being led by Brandon Allen under center, but the Cowboys just look like they gave up. Call it a hunch, but I wouldn’t be surprised by an upset.

George’s Picks
George’s Thoughts:
Let’s start with Thursday night. So New England is starting to put things together. They are getting all contributions in all 3 phases but not a lot from the QB. And they face the Rams and the often inconsistent Rams and Jared Goff. Sounds like the Super Bowl matchup they played 2 years ago. And we know how that turned out. Pick the Pats.
Underdogs: Why is Arizona favored against anyone at this point. Kyler Murray is clearly injured and Kliff Kingsbury’s incompetence has reared its ugly head the last month. Without the hail mary winner against the Bills they would be on 4-game losing streak. Meanwhile the Giants are about 2 or 3 plays from a 7-game winning streak and just won at Seattle. Daniel Jones or no Daniel Jones take the Giants.
The Chargers were a pathetic embarrassment last week but they stay home while Atlanta comes West after yet another failure against bitter rivals New Orleans. Perfect bounce back spot for the Chargers.
Washington is alive after a 3-game win streak. But if I am right and the Giants win then they have to beat the 49ers to keep their NFC East hopes alive. The Bills drove a stake through San Francisco’s heart and Washington will win.
Survivor: The pickings are getting slim here. If you haven’t used Tennessee, this is the week to use them.
Others: Miami will keep it close but just fall short against Kansas City like most Chiefs opponents do. The Steelers look mentally and physically spent and the Bills have momentum. Take the Bills.
Browns-Ravens is the toughest game to pick. I have Cleveland for now, I might change my mind on that by Monday night.
