Without further to do, here we go:
Week 12 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
Last year I ended up with a 66% record for the season, so that’s four years in a row with over a 60% pick rate. I had a solid week 11, though being 3rd I’m only 2 picks out of 1st with a 102-59 record (63.4%).
Plus, I had a 94% record on Locks of the Week last year. This year, I’m 10-1 for Locks of the Week, but the Bears let me down and I’m now 5-6 on Upsets of the Week.
Let’s get to that Lock and Upset for Week 12…
Lock of the Week => Cleveland Browns (-10.5) over Miami Dolphins
As a reminder, since I’m running this column Eliminator style, I’ll continue with NOT picking a team that previously picked as a Lock. So that means, this week, I got the Browns over the Dolphins.
So, I’m not as bullish on this Browns team after last Thursday’s debacle. But the offense looked decent and if that keeps up, there’s nothing Miami’s LAST place defense will do to change the outcome. I’m aware that Miami has been much better of late with FitzMagic under center, so perhaps I take the Dolphins with the spread, but that only puts them as the 3rd worst offense in the league per DVOA, so I think the Browns put the “Helmet-Gate” debacle behind them and get the win.
Upset of the Week => Seattle Seahawks (+1.5) over Philadelphia Eagles
Well, this might seem like a cop out, but I’m taking the Seahawks this week to upset the Eagles. Honestly, I’m not sure how the Eagles are even favored in this one. The Seahawks defense isn’t what it used to be (ranked 21st in the league), but Russell Wilson is better than ever making the Seahawks the number 1 passing offense in the NFL. The Eagles defense isn’t Swiss cheese, but they’re better at stopping the run (7th) than the pass (12th). I’m betting on Wilson getting plenty of opportunity with Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf and now Josh Gordon in the fold, plus the rapidly rising Jacob Hollister.

Scott’s Thoughts:
Playoffs are just around the corner and teams are starting to be eliminated. Who has what motivation? This is a big question at this point in the season. Have to keep grinding and watch the injuries, this is when it gets tough.

George’s Picks
George’s Thoughts:
Taking Indianapolis at Houston because as long as Jacoby Brissett stays upright the Colts are the better team in nearly every position except QB.
I can’t quit Daniel Jones so I am taking him and the Giants over the toothless and disintegrating Bears.
And coming off a terrible loss obscured by the brawl at the end, the Steelers crash back to reality continues by getting upset in Cincinnati! Bengals first win will put the 1-win Redskins in the frame for the top pick!
West Coast teams coming East usually struggle but not Seattle. They’ve thrived in that situation and the Eagles look flat and uninspired after getting up 10-0 on the Patriots. Take the Seahawks.
I’m taking Gardner Minshew to come off the bench in relief of a struggling Nick Foles and lead Jacksonville to a surprise win at Tennessee.
San Francisco are entering a dangerous gauntlet and quite a few are taking Green Bay to go there and win. Not me. Aaron Rodgers will take a beating and the 49ers will run the football at will.
Could the Ravens have a letdown in L.A. against the disappointing Rams? Maybe. But Jared Goff will not be good enough to take advantage of it. The Lamar Jackson MVP bus will keep on rolling. Take the Ravens.
