Without further to do, here we go:
Week 9 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
Last year I ended up with a 66% record for the season, so that’s four years in a row with over a 60% pick rate. And this year, I’m still tied for 2nd place with a 77-43 record (64.2%).
Plus, I had a 94% record on Locks of the Week last year. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on stopping there either, as I’m still 8 for 8 on Locks this year, and 3 of 8 on Upsets (the Bucs should have won that one)!
Let’s get to that Lock and Upset for Week 9…
Lock of the Week => Buffalo Bills (-9.5) over Washington Redskins
The Bills came back to earth last week losing to the Eagles 31 to 13. I don’t think the Eagles are actually that good, but the good news for the Bills is they get to face the hapless Redskins this week. Buffalo’s offense isn’t great being the 24th best offense in the league per DVOA, but the wind was blustery last week which threw off Josh Allen, and Washington has been a mess all over being just the 24th ranked defense in the league per DVOA, so even with Allen looking out of sync, I think they get it together and give the dynamic Devin Singletary more carries as well. Case Keenum is merely a stand-in at this point in Washington until Dwayne Haskins can get up to speed, and I don’t see them improving against Buffalo’s 6th ranked pass defense. Lock in those Bills.
Upset of the Week => Baltimore Ravens (+2.5) over New England Patriots
I know you think I’m crazy, but I’m swinging for the fences this week! The Patriots are amazing on defense, but the Ravens have the 8th ranked offense in the league, are coming off a bye and are playing at home. The Ravens do have a weak defense, being ranked 18th in the league, but keep in mind that the Pats aren’t the Pats of old, and they’re only ranked 15th in offense. The Patriots score the most points per game this season (31.3), but guess who’s 2nd most? Yup, the Ravens (30.6). This is going to be a fun one to watch, and I think the Ravens put an end to the Pats undefeated season.

Scott King’s Picks
Scott’s Thoughts:
The Bears really let me down last week. Should they have run the ball for a few extra yards before attempting that field goal? The end results suggest they should. Everyone had a good week so I still have a lot of grinding to do. Not sure if I’ll stick with Oakland over Detroit at this point but leaning that way. Lions don’t travel well and they don’t travel well out west. Should be a shoot out though, DFS options everywhere in this one.

George’s Picks
George’s Thoughts:
12 wins last week and I lost ground. So lets see if we can at least match that.
As good as DeShaun Watson is I think he can’t carry Houston forever. Jaguars defense at home will force some turnovers and Gardner Minshew will continue to make magic.
Matt Moore was terrific last week and it was LeSean McCoy’s fumble that undid the Chiefs last week. His good work will continue and they will put a stop to the Vikings winning run.
This week will be the week the Dolphins win. Jets are team turmoil and they aren’t protecting Sam Darnold while the Dolphins have been feisty and close to victory the last few weeks.
I’ve been hearing a lot this week, the Patriots unbeaten season will end in Baltimore. But this Ravens defense is as good as those teams that challenge New England. Patriots stay unbeaten.
