In a somewhat surprising move, the Seahawks decided to trade away one of their best defensive assets in DE Frank Clark. But perhaps more surprising is how much the Chiefs were willing to pay to upgrade their pass rush, as they gave up the 29th overall pick in 2019 and a 2020 second round pick for a defensive player who arguably isn’t among the leagues real game changers. Clark also has a concerning off-the-field history and dealt with injuries in 2018.
On the upside, the Chiefs are acquiring a player with at least 9 sacks each of the past three seasons. Clark also does not turn 26 until June. He certainly should make an impact for the Chiefs and hopefully for some time to come.
But let’s turn to the Seahawks. What are they going to do with their new first round pick? To help you out, we’ve had Ryan make a selection for the Seahawks at 29 to update our First Round of our 5th Annual Twitter NFL Mock Draft, which we released recently:

The Seahawks are in need of play makers for their newly rich QB and a lot of analysts have Harry marked as the best WR in this draft. Baldwin seems to be breaking down and I already had the Seahawks protecting against a possible Frank Clark departure earlier in the draft, so now it’s time to add weapons on the offensive side of the ball.
