Week 11 Games
Ha Kung Wong’s Picks
Ha Kung’s Thoughts:
As I mention every week, copy my picks and you can thank me later. I had a rough Week 10, but so did everyone, so I’m still in the lead with 89-57 for the season. So if you like winning, I think I can help.
The most interesting game for me this week is the Dallas Cowboys @ Miami Dolphins.
Dallas has the 7th lowest passing yards per game in the NFL this year. And that’s including the first two games of the season where Tony Romo completed 61 of 79 passes for 623 yards and four TDs. After Romo went out, the Cowboys dropped 7 straight, punctuated by an embarrassing 10-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10. The good news is that Romo is finally returning to the field this week, Dez Bryant looks 100% and, with Christine Michael being waived, the backfield has fully stabilized with Darren McFadden.
The Dolphins looked like they might have been able to salvage their season after returning from their Week 5 bye and firing former head coach Joe Philbin. And although they were blown out by both New England and Buffalo, they did manage to win 3 of the last 5 under new head coach Dan Campbell. With a newfound commitment to the ground game, which has allowed Lamar Miller to score a TD in five straight games and rookie Jay Ajayi to average 8.1 yards per carry over the last two, the Dolphins appear to be righting the ship.
With both teams needing this win to keep the possibility, no matter how feint, of a postseason run alive, I’m counting on the Dallas Cowboys, now fully healthy, to buck the trend in this pick ’em matchup.
Scott King’s Picks
As predicted, last weeks picks were terrible. I knew that was coming. I don’t feel great about this week either but we will see how it goes.
Joanne Kong’s Picks
Joanne’s Thoughts:
Dallas Cowboys (2-7) @ Miami Dolphins (4-5)
After a difficult win against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 10 the Dolphins face the Cowboys at home in week 11. You’d expect playing at home, the Dolphins would/should win. That’s probably what fans thought in Philadelphia. In week 11, Tony Romo is expected to return as quarterback, hoping to break the Cowboy’s 7-game losing streak since Romo’s absence.
The Dolphins defense has allowed 254.7 passing yards, 135.6 rushing yards and 25 points per game. The Dolphins have been better, but they are unpredictable at best. It will be a close game, but Cowboys win.
Green Bay Packers (6-3) @ Minnesota Vikings (7-2)
The Packers have been on a three week losing streak, losing in week 10, to of all teams, the Detroit Lions.
A division rivalry game, Green Bay will need to win to tie for first place with the Vikings in the NFC South division. While, the Vikings are looking to extend their lead in first place. The Vikings are running hot, winning their last five games, and favored to win against the Packers by a 1-point margin. The Vikings have a 48-57 win/loss record against the Packers, but have lost 3 and tied 1 of their last four meetings. It’s anybody’s game, but I’m going with the hot hand, and picking the Minnesota Vikings to win at home.
