“Pick ‘Em or Kick ‘Em”™: FGT VS. Urban Sports Scene 2022 Week 15 NFL Picks

By the Football Garbage Time Staff

If you followed last year, you won over 60% of your picks, and we aim to do even better this year.

And if you’ve been following us, you know that we here at Football Garbage Time have gone head to head against Wally, Will and Ray at Urban Sports Scene on our NFL Picks for the last 5 seasons.  Why?  Because they’re awesome competitors, they KNOW their sports, and, heck, they’re just good guys!  This year we’ll have their picks up right HERE, so keep it tuned in, to both us and them, because we’ll be picking all season all long.

Without further to do, here we go:

Week 15 Games

Ha Kung’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

Last year I ended up with a 64.7% record for the season, so that’s seven years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  Plus, I had a 75.5% record on Locks of the Week and a 58% record on Upsets of the Week.  I had an OK week going 8-5 in Week 14, with a total of 129-77 for the season (62.6%), 10-4 for Locks of Week, and 6-8 for Upsets of the Week.  Don’t worry, I don’t plan on stopping now!

Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 15…

Lock of the Week Kansas City Chiefs (-14.0) over Houston Texans

Even though they gave the Cowboys a scare last week, the Texans are still a complete mess right now, and their one offensive weapon, Dameon Pearce, can’t help them against the Chiefs defense that’s allowed the 6th least rushing yards to opposing teams per game this season.  The Texans played inspired defense against the Cowboys, but Patrick Mahomes can apparently only be beat by the Bengals.  I’m counting on Mahomes doing Mahomes things and rolling the Texans.  Don’t over think it.  Lock it in.

Upset of the Week Baltimore Ravens (+2.5) over the Cleveland Browns

The Browns have taken off on defense but haven’t really done much with a returning Deshaun Watson.  The Browns top weapon is still RB Nick Chubb, and the Ravens allow the 8th least points and 2nd least rush yards per game to opposing offenses this year.  Yes, Tyler Huntley is starting instead of Lamar Jackson, but that should change anything with Huntley leading the Ravens two back-to-back wins and now facing a Browns defense that allows the 6th most points per game to opposing offenses.  I like the Ravens in the upset.

Scott’s Picks

Scott’s Thoughts:

GM got bit by a couple games last week including the Rams comeback and my Lions rolling the Vikings. Injuries continue to stack up, some tough ones.

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

Baltimore at Cleveland: I don’t know who is at QB and I don’t know how but the Ravens will find a way. Because they usually do.

N.Y. Giants at Washington: All I’ve heard this week is that the Giants blowout loss at Philadelphia proves Washington is better and should’ve won the game in New Jersey 2 weeks ago. What?! Giants stopped the Commanders for 2 1/2 quarters and Taylor Heinicke isn’t in the same universe as Jalen Hurts. Plus it’s a night game against a divisional opponent. Because that’s gone so well the last 3 decades.

Detroit at N.Y. Jets: The Lions are surging and now they can score on the road which they couldn’t do early in the season. Mike White is not 100% the Lions march towards the playoffs continues to gather momentum.
