“Pick ‘Em or Kick ‘Em”™: FGT VS. Urban Sports Scene 2021 Week 12 NFL Picks

By the Football Garbage Time Staff

If you followed last year, you won over 60% of your picks, and we aim to do even better this year.

And if you’ve been following us, you know that we here at Football Garbage Time have gone head to head against Wally, Will and Ray at Urban Sports Scene on our NFL Picks for the last 7 seasons.  Why?  Because they’re awesome competitors, they KNOW their sports, and, heck, they’re just good guys!  This year we’ll have their picks up right HERE, so keep it tuned in, to both us and them, because we’ll be picking all season all long.

Without further to do, here we go:

Week 12 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

Last year I ended up with a 68.1% record for the season, so that’s six years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  I got back on track with 15 of 16 in Week 6 and with a solid performance in Week 10 am back on top and sitting at a decent 94-55 (63.1%) on the year.  Last year, I had a 87.5% record on Locks of the Week and a 50% record on Upsets of the Week.  So far I’m 70% (7-4) on my Locks and 50% (5-6) on my Upsets this year, so it looks like we’re well on track.  Don’t worry, I don’t plan on stopping now!

Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 11…

Lock of the Week Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5) over Denver Broncos

The Chargers are starting to pick up some momentum after and big Week 11 game and now have the 8th most yards per game as well as the 5th least giveaways this season.  Their defense isn’t as proficient as their offense, but the Broncos have the 10th least points per game this season, so that probably doesn’t matter.  I think the Chargers take this one.

Upset of the Week Tennessee Titans (+6.5) over New England Patriots

Is there a reason that I think the Titans are going to beat the Patriots?  Well, probably no more than the fact that the Titans were embarrassed in Week 11 losing to the Texans and will be all guns blazing in Week 12 to get back on track.  I also think the Titans get back to a more effective ground game after releasing AP and going to D’Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard.  That being said, I’d prefer to take the Titans with the points.

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

Not great last week. So let’s start to get back on track with Thanksgiving. And yes the Lions are starting Tim Boyle, but if there’s one thing Lions history is littered with. It’s no-name QBs and players shining on Turkey Day to lead the Lions to a surprising win. So based on that I’m going with Detroit as much as I am going against Andy Dalton and the soon to be fired Matt Nagy.

My one really great pick last week was Indianapolis winning in Buffalo. I think the Colts do it again with defense and just enough Carson Wentz to upset the suddenly wobbling Buccaneers.

Atlanta is sinking like a stone and the Jaguars will upset them.

Finish with the Rams marching into Lambeau to beat the Packers and the injured Aaron Rodgers and yes Washington will win its third in a row against Seattle.
