“Pick ‘Em or Kick ‘Em”™: FGT VS. Urban Sports Scene 2021 Week 10 NFL Picks

By the Football Garbage Time Staff

If you followed last year, you won over 60% of your picks, and we aim to do even better this year.

And if you’ve been following us, you know that we here at Football Garbage Time have gone head to head against Wally, Will and Ray at Urban Sports Scene on our NFL Picks for the last 7 seasons.  Why?  Because they’re awesome competitors, they KNOW their sports, and, heck, they’re just good guys!  This year we’ll have their picks up right HERE, so keep it tuned in, to both us and them, because we’ll be picking all season all long.

Without further to do, here we go:

Week 10 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

Last year I ended up with a 68.1% record for the season, so that’s six years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  I got back on track with 15 of 16 in Week 6 and with a solid performance in Week 9 am back on top and sitting at a decent 88-48 (64.7%) on the year.  Last year, I had a 87.5% record on Locks of the Week and a 50% record on Upsets of the Week.  So far I’m 77.8% (7-2) on my Locks and 55.6% (5-4) on my Upsets this year, so it looks like we’re well on track.  Don’t worry, I don’t plan on stopping now!

Let’s get to that Lock (for Survivor Leagues) and Upset for Week 10…

Lock of the Week Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10) over Washington Football Team

The Buccaneers have the most points (32.5) and the 7th most total yards per game (423.1) in the NFL this season.  There are a few hiccups here and there, but Tom Brady looks like Tom Brady, and coming off a the bye against the worst defense in the NFL is a huge plus.  I know it seems obvious, but lock in the Bucs this week.

Upset of the Week Cleveland Browns (+1) over New England Patriots

The Browns totally decimated the Bengals in Week 9 and now have the 6th most total yards per game in the NFL.  Sure, Chubb may miss the game due to a COVID test, but D’Ernest Johnson is more than capable.  The Patriots have looked solid on offense, but the Browns defense has allowed the 3rd least total yards per game (309.7) this season.  And although I think the Pats defense is legit, the Browns have significant momentum coming into this game.  It should be close, but I think the Browns get the upset.

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

Baker Mayfield’s banged up, Nick Chubb has COVID and the Patriot defense is on fire, I think the Browns are back and will turn Mac Jones over to beat the Patriots.

Philadelphia at Denver and everyone will be on the Broncos after they crushed Dallas. It’s a classic let down game for Denver and I am going with the Eagles to win on the road.
Russell Wilson is back, Aaron Rodgers might not be. But even if he is the return of Wilson means the Seahawks will come alive and win in Lambeau Field.

Raiders have been all over the place since John Gruden resigned. The Chiefs have been just plain mediocre. I think the good Raiders show up this week for their bitter rival and beat Kansas City.
