Without further to do, here we go:

Week 15 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

Last year I ended up with a 66% record for the season, so that’s four years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  I had a decent week 14, going 11-5, leaving me in 2nd place and only one pick off 1st with a 134-73 record (64.7%).

Plus, I had a 94% record on Locks of the Week last year.  This year, I’m 12-2 (85.7%) for Locks of the Week, and I’m now 8-6 on Upsets of the Week (for a second time, my pick against the Patriots came true).

Let’s get to that Lock and Upset for Week 15…

Lock of the Week => Baltimore Ravens (-15.0) over New York Jets

Well, I was running this column Eliminator style and NOT picking a team that I previously picked as a Lock through Week 13, but I finally picked wrong so we’re going back to the top lock regardless of previous picks, which is the Baltimore Ravens over the New York Jets.

Sometimes you just shouldn’t think too hard.  This is one of those week.  Lamar Jackson is the odds on favorite for MVP and he just keeps rolling.  He passes the ball, he runs the ball, and he might as well catch the ball as well, as he’s surpassed all expectations this year heading up the current BEST offense in the NFL per DVOA.  The Ravens are in sole control of the AFC and if they win out 2 of their last 3 games, they’ll hold the 1 seed going into the playoffs.  On the defensive side, it wasn’t so long ago (Week 4) that the Cleveland Browns offense ransacked them to the tune of 40 points, and the Ravens defense did reel a bit from that point, but now they’ve allowed the 6th fewest yards per game (314.6) and 5th fewest points per game (18.2) in the NFL this season, placing at 4th best among defenses per DVOA in the league.

On the other side, the Jets have done better of late, but they’re simply no match for the Ravens.  Sam Darnold may end up being the francise QB their looking for, but right now, the Jets are the WORST ranked offense per DVOA in the league.  Don’t over think it, just lock it in and move on.

Upset of the Week => Buffalo Bills (+3.0) over Pittsburgh Steelers

I’m sorry, but I’m not sold on the Steelers.  Devlin “Duck” Hodges has been serviceable, and Diontae Johnson is a nice story, but that only amounts to being the 3rd WORST offense per DVOA versus the Bills’ 5th BEST defense per DVOA.  Josh Allen looks like a legit game manager and Devin Singletary is starting to breakout in the backfield with more opportunity.  The Steelers do have the 3rd best defense per DVOA, but I just trust the Bills offense more than the shell of an offense remaining in Pittsburgh.  Put me down for the upset.

Scott King’s Picks

Wally’s Picks

Ray’s Picks

George’s Picks

George’s Thoughts:

Struggling the last few weeks in part because I’ve refused to believe in Ryan Tannehill. Well I’ve given in. He’s perfect for the Titans system and while they are on fire, the Texans were just roasted by a rookie QB at home. Pick Tennessee. Going for a Chargers upset even though they are wildly inconsistent. But if the Kirk Cousins December fade is going to happen this is the perfect place for it to start. I keep thiking Dallas will bust out of this slump and play to their talent level. And I think it could happen against the Rams who saved there season against Seattle but are still a disappointing team overall. Buffalo will go to Pittsburgh and win. That Bills defense will make Devlin “Duck” Hodges wish he was Daffy Duck.
