2017 Week 14 NFL Picks

By the Football Garbage Time Staff

If you followed last year, you won over 60% of your picks, and we aim to do even better this year.

Without further to do, here are our picks:

Week 14 Games

Ha Kung Wong’s Picks

Ha Kung’s Thoughts:

Last year I ended up with a 62% record for the season, so that’s two years in a row with over a 60% pick rate.  Had solid Week 13 bringing me up to 119-73 overall, which is a 62% pick rate, so we’re rounding back into form!

Last week’s Lock of the Week went as planned with the Pats, as well as the Upset of the Week with the Vikings.  That makes me 2-1 for both going into Week 14.

Here are my picks for Week 14, just for you folks in survivor pools, or looking to make a bet on that elusive money line!

Lock of the WeekNew England Patriots over the Miami Dolphins

Moneyline: Patriots (-700) / Dolphins (+500)

Upset of the WeekOakland Raiders over the Kansas City Chiefs

Moneyline: Raiders (+170) / Chiefs (-200)

The Pats are essentially in the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” category.  Is there any team that can slow them down?  Probably not the 27th ranked Dolphins defense.  As for the Raiders, it’s not so much the fact that Michael Crabtree is back, but that the Chiefs defense have completely fallen off a cliff, and top CB Marcus Peters has been suspended by the Chiefs due to the his tantrum chucking a penalty flag into the stands and storming off to the locker room mid-game.  So I see a significant opportunity for the Raiders this week to really go after the Chiefs secondary.  I’d definitely take the spread, but I like the Raiders to win and pull the upset as well.

Also, just because we love competition here at Football Garbage Time, we’re once again going heads up against Wally, Will and Ray at Urban Sports Scene on our NFL Picks.

They’re awesome competitors, and they KNOW their sports, so keep it tuned in, to both us and them, because we’ll be picking all season all long.

Scott King’s Picks

Scott King’s Thoughts:

I was 1-0 in Picks I Hate last week and this week I only hate two picks.   I hate taking Seattle on the road against the Jaguars, but I can’t take The Jags.  I also taking Arizona in any circumstances,  but I cannot take Tennessee on the road.  We’ll see how I do.
